Llegué a casa con mi caballo de palo,
y estábamos muy cansados,
lo dejé a un lado
y me senté en mi sofá pardo.

I arrived home with my stick horse,
and we were very tired,
I put it aside
and sat down on my brown sofa.

y es azul celeste,
retiro el suéter sucio amablemente

y busco en el armario otro atuendo,
disfrazo a mi caballo con esto

My new coat has fish on it
and is sky blue,
I kindly remove the dirty sweater
and replace it with the newest one.
Now I look like the ocean
and search the closet for another outfit,
I dress up my horse with this
now it's a sky blue fish.
En mi caballo salgo de casa
el océano va sobre un pez que se arrastra,
es mi caballo que disfrazado anda
y me lleva feliz en su espalda.
No vamos hasta el mar
porque muy lejos está,
pero en la pradera podemos pasear
aunque mi caballo se cansa y lo debo arrastrar.
On my horse I leave home,
the ocean rides on a fish that crawls,
it is my horse that walks in disguise
and carries me happily on its back.
We don't go to the sea
because it is too far away,
but we can ride in the meadow,
even though my horse gets tired and I have to drag it along.
