This week, we venture into the realm of battles including Armored Up, the ruleset that grants all monsters plus 2 Shield. We are currently playing in Champion League, WILD format, therefore 3 rulesets apply, and In this Particular Game, Armored Up is accompanied with Odd Ones Out (Only odd mana cost monsters can be used) and Noxious Fumes (All Monsters Start Poisoned).
Usually I would counter Armored up with Immortalis due to Shatter and would use high agility monsters with large Damage, however because of Noxious Fumes, I had to rethink my Strategy. It was determined that Lily Shieldpaw would once again be the one to choose and that a sustain game would need to be played to be victorious. I have written three articles referencing this particular summoner, and all games had lead to victory. Perhaps this is indeed the Dragon Summoner we were all waiting for.
My line up starts with Almo Cambio, a high Health, High Agility Tank that has 0 Hit Points, which reflects both ranged and Magical Damage. Because of the Camouflage ability offered by Lily, all attacks would focus on Almo instead of other monsters. I Picked Oshuur Constantia for second position due to the Reflection shield (Is not affected from Blast Damage), the tank heal and the Resurrect Ability, followed by Scale Doctor, more for the triage ability, however the repair of the shield and of course the Rust Ability meant that enemy units would loose their plus 2 shield, Which would leave them vulnerable against high speed high damage monsters. Due to the Mana restriction I chose to go for Dragon Jumper (Untamed) and Whelp Herder (Rift Watchers) who have the ability of Opportunity (Will attack from any position, focusing on monsters with the lowest health) which in my eyes would lead to Victory.
Having 2 Triage, a Durable Tank with Immune, and a resurrect if needed, I was confident that I would be able to sustain the damage from the enemy as well as the 2 damage incurred each round by Noxious Fumes. This particular set up would also be able to push out 12 Points of Damage not to mention anything that had been reflected back at the enemy. Please see the link below for the full game.

Another Victory, but more importantly another ruleset, in which Lily Shieldpaw could show here supremacy. I am enjoying using the new Summoners, it is definitely more challenging as opposed to having all of the Untamed Summoners at my disposal, but dynamics are changing, players are getting better, and there's no time to get comfortable for if you "snooze you loose". I would like to think that those reliant on the older summoners will be put at a big disadvantage moving forward, learn how to play with some new toys, you just might like it.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my most recent battle, should you have any questions or queries, please feel free as to comment. @mangomayhem signing out, Ciao for now, and I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!
