Era el año 2018. Ya habíamos vendido la casa y casi todo lo que teníamos con la finalidad de emigrar para Argentina. Esperabamos la fecha del vuelo que iba atada a la del pasaporte de mi hijo menor.

Nos fuimos a vivir esos últimos momentos en casa de mi madre, en Los Teques, y un día nos planteamos que debíamos ir al cerro Avila (jamás me acostumbré a llamarlo como le dicen ahora Waraira Repano, aunque ese fuera su nombre original) pero subiendo en el teleférico.

Mis hijos no conocían ni el sitio ni a un teleférico, por lo que hacer de esos momentos grandes recuerdos del país que los vio nacer, era lo propio.

Mi hijo menor quien tenía 3 años para entonces, no recuerda nada, el otro, muy vagamente, pero en nosotros sus padres no quedó el sentimiento de culpa de no haberles dado la oportunidad de conocer un sitio tan emblemático de la ciudad que los vio nacer.

Por suerte nos quedan las fotos, testigos silenciosos de esos días que esperamos en algún momento poder volver a recrear.
