Trying different angles while taking pictures is something I enjoy, especially when I can play with light and shadows. This time, I tried still life photography with a modern kerosene lamp. As you may know it is an object used in the old times when there was no electricity. Nowadays, it is just a candid decorative object. The shape of the lamp, the way it catches light, and the transparency of the glass made it interesting for me to capture it in different shades.
The two photographs here in this post, are a couple of many I captured during a photography trip to Edirne city of Turkiye. One of our stops was a historical mosque called Eski Camii (Old Mosque). As part of our trip, we had the opportunity to work with a model, a friend from the photography club actually, posing both inside the mosque and outside for us.
Sometimes, the best moments happen to me when I am just wandering around with no real plan. That’s how I ended up taking the photos at the end. Just me, my camera, and the simple joy of looking around. I don't remember where I read it but they say: "A visual exploration."

It is a pleasure to contemplate the usual things to see if I can express them differently. As in these photos, I tried using new angles and light to look at everyday objects with a bit of aesthetic concern. In each picture, I experimented with the idea that even mundane things can look amazing if I look at them differently. Please join me on this journey to see how ordinary objects can turn into something not expected to be seen daily.
A genie who enjoys playing with the time and creating chaos...This is a photo collage that I made up from various objects that can be found around. The idea came to my mind when I first spotted a blanket forming a head-like shape on the corner of my bed (First shot on the table below). I think the dark background brought it up for me to notice it. The mouth, the hat, eyehole etc... all was there. I just needed to decorate the face and surroundings :)
