Gusto en saludarlos deseando que estén con salud y bienestar al igual que sus seres queridos, el día de ayer en la víspera de la Navidad nos reunimos en familia a esperar al niño Jesús brindando y compartiendo los platos y bebidas navideñas para celebrar y agradecer a Dios, fue un día de mucha ilusión y alegrías, cenamos en familia y brindamos por todas las bendiciones recibidas, pedimos a Dios por la paz y armonía en el mundo que se logre la equidad y la sanidad de muchas personas que lamentablemente se encuentran enfermas en hospitales, al igual que aquellas que se encuentran separados de algún miembro de la familia, ya que estas fechas son propicias para agradecer y orar a Dios y así lo hicimos.

Es tradición en Venezuela cenar este día con algunos platos típicos como ensalada de gallina, pan de jamón, la tradicional hallaca acompañada de pan de huevo y, ya que me faltaban unos ingredientes para la ensalada fui a comprarlos temprano con mi hijo mayor al supermercado, al llegar mi esposo salió a buscar unas hallacas que habíamos encargado, ya que no tuvimos tiempo de realizar hallacas este año, pero si nos propusimos hacer nuestro pan de jamón, así que en la tarde nos pusimos a hacer la ensalada, y los panes de jamón, que por cierto quedaron deliciosos, al igual que un postre de flan con gelatina que le hice a los niños.
It is tradition in Venezuela to have dinner on this day with some typical dishes such as chicken salad, ham bread, the traditional hallaca accompanied by egg bread and, since I was missing some ingredients for the salad I went to buy them early with my eldest son to the supermarket, upon arrival my husband went out to get some hallacas that we had ordered, Since we did not have time to make hallacas this year, but we decided to make our ham bread, so in the afternoon we started to make the salad and the ham breads, which by the way were delicious, as well as a dessert of flan with jelly that I made for the children.
Me encanta mucho la navidad, ya que es una época muy alegre, cuando cocino me gusta escuchar gaitas, esta música es muy bella y te llena de entusiasmo, hace que los quehaceres en la cocina resulten más placenteros, ya para final de la tarde teníamos todo listo en la cocina, después nos fuimos a bañar y vestirnos para cenar, no sin antes tomarnos unas fotos, ya que después íbamos a bajar al estacionamiento de la urbanización para pasear y luego visitar a mi madre para llevarle unos obsequios; todos los vecinos nos pusimos de acuerdo para decorar con luces abajo los espacios y de noche todo se ve muy bonito, por lo que les comparto algunas de las fotos que nos tomamos.

Cuando baje con los niños, mi esposo se quedó colocando los juguetes en el árbol, para cuando regresáramos los niños los encontrarán, y así hacer la magia de la navidad posible para los niños, que considero tienen derecho a tener sus ilusiones navideñas, en mi caso solo mi hijo menor aún cree en Santa, y su hermano mayor nos apoya para darle la sorpresa ja, ja, ja, pero a él también se la dimos, ya que le jugamos una pequeña broma diciéndole que no le pudimos conseguir lo él quería porque ya se habían acabado, que para después iríamos a comprárselo a la tienda, Así que a él también lo sorprendimos gratamente cuando encontró bajo el árbol lo que quería.
