I always wanted to live in Caracas again, and although I haven’t made it back yet, I feel like life gave me a little piece of that wish by bringing me to Medellín. The atmosphere, the people, the views—everything reminds me of one of the cities that made me happiest.

Today we visited Zorba, located right in the center of El Poblado, one of the city’s busiest and most touristy areas. The main idea was just to eat, since they sell some de li cious pizzas that had been highly recommended to me. However, the waitress mentioned they also had a variety of craft beers, so we decided to try two IPAs—one called Heaven and the other Real, both blondes.

To my great surprise, a few days ago one of my closest friends from my teenage years messaged me saying he was in Medellín, and it took us less than 5 minutes to plan to meet the next day ❤️We spent an afternoon full of laughter, stories, and some amazing desserts in a very busy and colorful area of the city. It’s funny to look back and realize how fast time flies—sometimes it’s hard to process—but here we are, still the same people, just in a different stage of life.

Lezzet has that cozy atmosphere that invites you to stay for hours. The lighting is soft and dim, as if whispering for you to relax and enjoy the ambiance and flavors. There are three areas: one more traditional with tables and chairs, and two outdoor spaces where the best thing to do is kick off your shoes and sink into huge floor cushions, true to the Arabic style. It’s perfect for unwinding, chatting, and savoring without rush, though I didn’t take photos of the outdoor areas out of respect for those dining there.
