I didn't want to let the week go by without working and exposing my project for you to enjoy it, just as I enjoy yours. That is why I wanted to make a simple and practical work, as it is a pencil case, this idea was born from seeing my daughter Ruth when she comes home from high school, at times she leaves her backpack on the chair of course she does not remember later where she leaves the pencils, so I started to work.

No he querido dejar pasar la semana sin trabajar y exponerlo para que ustedes lo disfruten, al igual que me alegro con los suyos. Por eso he querido hacer un trabajo sencillo y practico, como lo es una funda para lápices, esta idea nació de ver a mi hija Rut cuando llega a la del liceo, en momentos deja la mochila en la silla por supuesto no recuerda después donde deja los lápices, así que empecé a trabajar.

I started working in the afternoon almost at night, I cut the pieces of fabric to 28cm long x 6cm wide. The interfacing fabric was 14cm long x 6cm wide and the elastic was 25cm long.
Comencé a trabajar en la tarde casi noche, corte los trozos de tela a 28cm de largo x6cm de ancho. El pelon con pega de 14cm de largo x 6cm de ancho y el elástico de 25cm de largo.
I then folded and ironed the flowered fabric, inserted interfacing fabric, and ironed so that everything would adhere.
Seguidamente la tela floreada la doble y planche, introduje el pelon con pega, planche para que todo se adhiera.
After this process, pin the two green fabric covers, place the elastic in the middle and the flowered fabric on one side. Stitch all around the edge, leaving a 4cm wide opening.
Posteriormente a todo este proceso ajuste con alfileres las dos tapas de tela verde, en medio coloque el elástico y en un lado la tela floreada. Pase costura por todo el borde, dejando una abertura de 4cm de ancho.
After stitching, I made some picks at the four points, so that it is easier to turn the fabric and the corners are well outlined.
Luego de pasar costura hice unos piquetes en las cuatro puntas, para que así se haga mas fácil voltear la la tela y las esquinas queden bien perfiladas.
When I started to flip the fabric at this stage, I noticed that the pocket part was not looking the way I wanted it to. Thank God I realized the mistake in time, because after reworking the seam I was going to get a bad job, I started to flip the fabric on the other side until I overcame the goal.
Comencé a voltear la tela en esta etapa, observe que la parte del bolsillo no me estaba quedando como yo quería. Guao gracias a Dios me di cuenta a tiempo del error, ya que luego de repisar la costura iba obtener un mal trabajo,empece a voltear la tela del otro lado hasta superar el objetico.
I hope that with this simple pencil case my daughter will be able to be tidier.
