She started by admitting she was just a regular person when she first got into crypto in 2016. No tech background, no Web3 knowledge, just someone who suddenly thought, "Wait, why don’t I own my own data?" That question led her into the blockchain world, where she found Hive! A blockchain designed for social interaction, content monetization, and giving Big Tech a run for its money.

Over the past few days, I have been working a little more with the SPS Validator software and doing various tasks. As some of you already know, I like to work as a pentester, security researcher or ethical hacker in my spare time. At first, we only had the frontend at to cast our votes for SPS validators and initially focused on the input fields that are available there. Technically, I simply write something in an input field, which in turn is written to the blockchain and output again a little later at a specific location. My approach here was to test stored XSS, which I have already done very often with other hive services. I must have tried around 50 different ways of writing code to the chain in order to break through the HTML displayed on the website and execute code. I made many attempts - nothing worked. This is great and actually exactly what I had in mind.

As things stand, I have signed around 85 blocks and received a reward of 0.434 SPS each. I received my first transaction on 07.03.2025 at 19:00:24 and since then I have just signed 85 blocks - at the beginning of the records my validation node was in the overall ranking of validators at place 48 - which means that I receive significantly fewer blocks to sign than someone who is at the top of the rankings. After at least a few people from our guild voted for my validation node, my validator node was able to slide up to 29th place, which in turn means that I effectively get a block to sign more often and accordingly receive 0.434 SPS as a reward more often. Unfortunately, the support of the SPS whales who vote for my validator node @louis.sps is still missing here. What a pity, really.

In this post I announce that my Splinterlands Validation Node (SPS-Validator) under the username louis.sps is successfully installed and running. A few weeks before the official release, I was involved in various phases of development and testing to improve the SPS Validator Node software and check for bugs. The cooperation with the team was great, easy and fast!

On the one hand, we would like our content that we publish here on the Hive Blockchain to be found in the search engines. But there is also the flip side of this - namely content that we don't want to have in the search engines. During my work as a web developer, I often come to the point where it is necessary or even common to exclude pages from indexing in the search engine. These include, for example, the legal notice or the privacy policy. These contents are important for the legal aspects of a website but do not offer any valuable content for the search engine and the ranking of the actual page. It is therefore common practice to exclude these pages from indexing when the site is launched.

Since the topic of search engine optimization is always on my mind and I have already seen that some articles written on PeakD are not displayed quite accurately in the search engines, I would like to publish a few articles in the near future that are dedicated to optimizing the articles that are published on PeakD. I will focus on the PeakD frontend, as this is my absolute favorite in terms of the developers behind it, its speed and reliability. So I won't be publishing any content for InLeo, Ecency or Hive.Blog for the time being.
