We finally made it! We went to the House of Banksy in Munich. Since I heard of this artist I have been a big fan! Bringing a message into this world to make people think about current things going on without taking credit for it is in my opinion a character strength that not many show anymore. - So I always wanted to see at least one of his works in person.
The next morning we had to wake up pretty early again as we had to catch a flight to Sucre. We would drive to the airport and fly about 45 minutes to get to the capital to sleep one night there before we would head to Potosi and Uyuni.
After our hike to the waterfall Velo de la Novia, we still had one more stop on our list before we would drive 6 hours back to Santa Cruz de la Sierra on the 830km day trip. - So we jumped back in the car and followed the street /train rails that were built to reach the Brazilian border.
After our stop in San Jose de Chiquitos, we were only halfway on that 830km day trip. There were two more things to do so we had to hurry a bit to get to Chochis - our next stop. The plan was to arrive at some restaurant and have lunch and then walk to the waterfall close by: Velo de la Novia, to check out some jungle part of the country and explore the fauna and flora there.
The next morning we had to wake up very early in the morning around 5 am as we had a long day ahead. As Britta could only travel 2,5 weeks with me, we had a short timetable, which meant only one long and full day in the area of Santa Cruz de la Sierra before we would fly out to our next stop.
The past few days have been so nice here in Germany. It is cold but sunny and the contrast of ice in the morning with blue sky looks just awesome. As yesterday was the last day of the year Elena and I decided to do one last big walk enjoying this beautiful weather.
