Hello amazing bloggers out there. In this third series of Pandas tutorial post, I will be showing you how to select and index data from a CSV files using Pandas library. CSV (Comma-separated Value) files are one of the popular file extension to work with pandas for data storage and manipulation. It allows plain text file to be stored in tabular form. We will be working with a real-world dataset from Kaggle. The name of this dataset is Talking about the Titanic dataset, it is one of the popular dataset used for educational purposes and also for beginners who want to begin their career in data science or machine learning. The dataset contains information of the passengers onboard the famous titanic ship and their survival status. The dataset we are working is an extension and improved version of the original Titanic dataset. The dataset had extensively been used for machine learning projects like predicting the survival status of passengers based on multiple factors using various algorithms like KNN, regression analysis and so on. With that being said, in order to build and evaluate such model, the primary tasks is to make sure that the data is right, free of inconsistencies and any errors. And, pandas help to a great extent to prepare data for such purposes.I am assuming you have downloaded the dataset. You will need to register using one of your social media accounts or email to download the dataset. After you have downloaded the dataset, you will need to extract the dataset into the directory where you want to work, and that directory is also the path where your main python file is. The spots haven't been fixed yet to go for camping but I am planning to go somewhere this coming Monday. I won't go very far from Perth because I have a very limited time. There are quite a lot of camping sites here in Western Australia. I think camping is one of the best way to enjoy the natural beauty of Australia-pristine lakes, beaches and untouched forests. I also have no idea if camping for winter is the best idea because it always rains more often here in Western Australia. But the good thing is that I would need only a few camping accessories. I don't have to buy more water, insects repellent, sunscreen and many other things that are typically require during hot weather. Furthermore, lighting a fire in the outdoor fire-pit will keep you cozy and warm. Many of the campgrounds don't allow open campfire here in WA as it can bring about fire hazards. I only have a limited budget. So I brought the gears that are very economical. I brought two folding chairs, a portable stove, 3 cannisters of butane gas that is used to lit the stove, a flocked air mattress, a solar lamp and a 4 person tent. I wanted to go with air sleeping bag but my friend recommended me that inflatable mattress provides more comfort as in bed than the sleeping bag. With sleeping bag, there's more friction between you and the ground and it gets quite cold here in WA during winter night. I am planning to take my own pillows for the trip.For the economical tent, I believe it won't accommodate the people as they advertised, and I had gone through many reviews to decide which to buy. So, I went with a 4 person tent as I believe it would provide me an enough space for me and my wife, and to keep all our belongings inside during the trip. And the othe

The joy of having to try various unoque and authentic dish here in Australia is very exciting. I had tried many Indian dishes back in the past here but never a South Indian one as they had their own culture and food different than the rest of India. And Australia being a multi-cultural country, you have myriad of food choices to try from be it korean, thai, indonesian, italian, mexican, african and so on. I went there on the recommendation of my flat mate and it didn't kill my expectation. The food really had a pleasant and unique taste. We ordered two idli. Idli is a soft cake made with rice and it was served with curry, coconut pickle and i don't know what other pickle was. I am thinking it to be made from tomatoes. We ordered two puris and the last one was masala dosa. Dosa was served with potatoes curry and the pickles. The food was excellent and it made me try some more south indian food the next time.

In the last Dataframe makes it easier for data to be used for visualization and analysis purposes. And the best things about pandas is that it supports most of the file extensions type like JSON, plain text, CSV and so on. Here we will do some coding related to DataFrame. The syntax for creating a DataFrame is quite similar to that of series. We will create a weather dataframe that contains 5 data about date, city, temperature, humidity and precipitation value for particular US cities.So you may have seen above at first we imported pandas library and then define labels for column and rows. Pandas is an open source library for python that is used for data manipulation. The popular package was first created by Wes McKinney in 2008 to be used for data analysis purpose using python. Concepts of pandas are must to have if you are looking to excel your career as a data scientist or data analysts, Machine Learning Engineers. Data manipulation tasks can even be performed by other popular packages like NumPy but what makes Pandas so preferred package over other is the fact that it serves as a single hub to do all of the data analysis tasks like loading data, cleaning the data, modelling the data, analyzing and manipulating it. Pandas is built on top of NumPy library. So, it works well with other third party libraries like SciPy, matplotlib. And on top of that, pandas make any data processing tasks very fast, easy and efficient. So with that being a little short introduction to pandas, we will now focus on pandas core components.Pandas typically have two data structures. While relishing the beauty of Perth, Western Australia, I often remember about my home far across the seas. It has been exactly two years since I left my home and arrived here in Australia for my further studies. I often miss my home and most importantly my families, relatives living over there. I often get too attached with them sometimes. I was grown in Kathmandu city. And the way you are brought in the city is completely different than the village here in our country. Every time I would go to my dad's birthplace, I often feel so connected to this place. I get amazed by people's simpler lifestyles. They grow healthy and organic food that they grow in their own land with no chemicals. There's no pollution of any kind and the atmosphere was so serene than the urban cities. And most importantly you get a sense of freedom and relaxation.These photos were captures 27 months before and that was the last time I had visited my village. You can imagine the rustic lifestyle of the people looking at the photo - no vehicles, no tall buildings and skyscrapers, no pitched road, and less crowded. Everyone's occupation is farming and domesticating animals. Everyday you will wake up and be blessed by this serene beauty. The houses are also made of mud and clay with tin at the top. There is greenery everywhere in the four directions. This is also one of the reasons why everyone love hiking and trekking in Nepal.
