"
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose", this iconic line said by Jack Dawson aka
Leonardo di Caprio in one of the most epic romance and sad movie of all time -
Titanic. It is basically based on the sinking of the RMS Titanic which carries both historical and fictional aspects.
The movie is set in 1912 and follows the story of two young lovers Jack Dawson and Rose Dewitt Bukater (
Kate Winslet). They meet aboard the Titanic - One of the largest and most luxurious ocean liners of its time. Despite their different social classes, Jack and Rose falls deeply in love and must fight for their love as the ship faces its fateful end.
So let's get into the RMS Titanic !!
Story
The movie begins with a scene in the present day as some treasure hunters are searching for the remains of the Titanic for a legendary diamond known as the Heart of the Ocean. While searching they found a drawing of a young woman which got them really fascinated and set out to learn more about the woman. Cut to scene in 1912, where Rose a wealthy and unhappy young woman is on the Titanic with her fiance and her mother. Rose is on the verge of suicide and feels trapped in her engagement but when she meets Jack, a free-spirited artist who has won his ticket to Titanic in a card game. Rose begins to see a way out, despite the objection of her fiance and her mother. Jack and Rose's love flourishes and they make plans to start a new life together. However, the plans are cut short when the ship strikes an iceberg and begins to sink.

In the chaos that arises, Jack and Rose must fight to stay alive and stay together as the ship goes down. As the ship sinks Jack and Rose find themselves fighting for their lives and for each other. Despite the odds, they managed to make it to the end of the sinking ship but Jack dies of hypothermia because of being in cold water for a longer time. In the final scene of the movie, elderly Rose throws the Heart of the Ocean into the ocean expressing her letting go of the past and her love for Jack.
Conclusion
Throughout the movie, we all can see the difference between the luxury of upper-class people and the struggle of lower-class people as they try to survive. Actually, the passenger list was divided into three classes by their ticket prices. We also see the bravery of the crew as they try to save as many people as possible.
So the question is, "Could all the people have been saved from the Titanic".
In my opinion, it could have been possible if there were no caste privileges. At that time, first-class people didn't like to interact with third-class people. When the Titanic was sinking, many lifeboats with first-class people on them were going with 15-20 people whereas the lifeboats had the capacity of taking 60-65 people.
So now you know, Titanic is a timeless tale of love, hope and sacrifice that has delighted audiences for decades. It's stunning special effects & breathtaking cinematography have made it a classic of modern cinema and with its memorable characters, powerful themes and epic scale, Titanic remains one of the greatest movies of all time. Its theme of love, hope & perseverance continues to remind the audience to this day.
NAMASTE !!
