Hello to all my dear craft friends of this beautiful community, happy needlepoint Monday, I am finally writing my post of the day, in fact it is already night around here, and I thought I could still have the opportunity to show you my Monday work, Here I am happy with my project, I share with you a new restoration, I did to a wallet that my older sister gave me a long time ago, and that I always loved because it is embroidered with ribbon, so today I decided to restore it, to use it again, because it has a very nice sentimental value for me, it is a gift from my beloved older sister, I imagine that when she sees me restoring that wallet that she gave me so long ago she will be impressed.

Hola a todos mis queridos amigos artesanos de esta hermosa comunidad, feliz lunes de agujas, finalmente estoy escribiendo mi publicación del día, de hecho ya es noche por aquí, y pensé que aún podía tener la oportunidad de mostrarles mi trabajo de los lunes, Aquí me encuentro feliz con mi proyecto, les comparto una nueva restauración, que le hice a una cartera que hace mucho tiempo me regalo mi hermana mayor, y que siempre me encanto porque es bordada con cinta, así que hoy decidí restaurarla, para volver a usarla, ya que tiene un valor sentimental muy lindo para mí, es un regalo de mi adorada hermana mayor, imagino que cuando me vea que restaure esa cartera que hace tanto tiempo me regalo se va a impresionar.

I gathered the necessary and appropriate materials, placed them on my work table, and began to remove from the portfolio all the internal material that was damaged, then I cleaned the excess residue very well to continue with the restoration.
Reuní los materiales necesarios y adecuados, los coloca sobre mi mesa de trabajo, y comencé a retirar de la cartera todo el material interno que estaba dañado, enseguida, limpie muy bien el exceso de residuos para continuar con la restauración.
At this point, I turned the main external piece of the wallet inside out, leaving the lining on the wrong side, so that when I sewed it, it would be on the right side.
I inserted the lining inside the main piece of the bag, and with an internal basta seam, which I did by hand, I secured and then went over the seam on the outside, leaving an invisible seam, due to the type of fabric of the bag, which favored me when sewing, then I measured the length of the zipper to start sewing it.
En este punto, le di la vuelta a la pieza principal externa de la cartera, deje el forro del lado del revés, para que al coserlo quede del lado derecho.
Introduje el forro dentro de la pieza principal de la cartera, y con una costura de basta interna, que hice a mano, asegure y luego repase la costura por fuera, quedando una costura invisible, debido al tipo de tela de la cartera, que me favoreció al coser, luego medí el largo del cierre para empezar a coserlo.
I sewed the zipper with thick thread, since it is one of the most used pieces, and with constant use, it tends to come unstuck, so I made sure that the seam was very well done, with two passes of back stitch.
I loved the way the zipper turned out and how well the seams look on this fabric.
El cierre lo cosí con hilo grueso, ya que es una de las piezas que más se utiliza, y con el constante uso, suele despegarse, así que me asegure de que la costura quedara muy bien hecha, con dos pasadas de punto atrás.
Me encanto como quedo el cierre y lo bien que se ven las costuras en esta tela.
Finishing the restoration of the wallet, I made the braid to hang it, with some cords of a material similar to mouse glue, I don't really know what this material is called, it was from a belt that I no longer used and I took advantage of it in this project.
Terminando de cerrar el paso de la restauración de la cartera, hice la trenza para colgármela, con unos cordones de un material parecido a la cola de ratón, realmente no sé cómo se llama este material, era de un cinturón que ya no usaba y lo aproveche en este proyecto.
I continued by placing some metal hooks at the ends of the braid, and then attach them to the sides of the wallet, with some rings that will hold them, I finished closing the rings with a clamp, and that was how I finished this restoration of my beautiful wallet.
Sometimes we have projects that we want to restore or start, but I think that everything has an ideal time for motivation.
Continúe colocando unos ganchos de metal en las puntas de la trenza, para luego fijarlos a los lados de la cartera, con unas argollas que los van a sostener, termine cerrando las argollas con una pinza, y así fue como finalice esta restauración de mi bonita cartera.
A veces tenemos proyectos que queremos restaurar o iniciar, pero pienso que todo tiene un tiempo ideal para la motivación.
