Traveling and taking photos is a great combination, especially when I do it in places I've never visited. A few days ago, a friend invited me to a photography event called "Digitaliza tu ciudad" by an NGO (Digitize your city), which consisted of photographing different points of interest to then upload the material to a public platform for informational purposes.

My friend, also a photographer, led an urban photography workshop and asked me to join him because he knows how much I love street photography, plus we hadn't gone out for a photo walk together in a while.

It was honestly a fun time. I met people who are really into photography, others who aren't as much, but who are interested in contributing to the community in one way or another through artistic means.

I, of course, took the opportunity to photograph several places. Today I'm sharing the first place we were at, which was the meeting point where people of all ages gradually arrived, cameras in hand, others with their cell phones, all eager to take photos.

Some focused on architecture, others, like me, on people, others on animals, etc.

Something I love about these kinds of activities is the diversity of photos that can come out of the same space.

Viajar y hacer fotos son una buena combinación, especialmente cuando lo hago en lugares que nunca he visitado. Hace unos días, un amigo me invitó a una actividad fotográfica llamada “Digitaliza tu ciudad”, organizada por una ONG , que consistía en fotografiar diferentes lugares de interés para luego subir el material a una plataforma de uso público con propósitos informativos.

Mi amigo, también fotógrafo, dictó un taller de fotografía urbana y me pidió que lo acompañara porque sabe lo mucho que me gusta fotografiar la calle, además de que teníamos tiempo sin salir a compartir una caminata fotográfica.

La verdad fue un rato ameno. Conocí gente a la que le gusta mucho la fotografía, otros que no tanto, pero que están interesados en aportar a la comunidad de una u otra forma a través de medios artísticos.

Yo, por supuesto, aproveché la oportunidad de fotografiar varios lugares. Hoy comparto el primero en el que estuvimos, que fue el lugar de encuentro donde poco a poco fueron llegando personas de todas las edades, con cámara en mano, otros con sus teléfonos celulares, con el ánimo de fotografiar.

Algunos se enfocaron en la arquitectura, otros, como yo, en la gente, otros en los animales, etc.

Algo que me gusta de este tipo de actividades es la diversidad de fotografías que pueden surgir aun estando en el mismo espacio.
