I’m still in the mood for some beef. BBQ-ed ones to be precise. There is something about the charring of meats on a grill which gives it an extra flavour and texture.

My choice was Yakiniku-GO, a budget friendly eatery that has seemed to have expanded to quite a few stores locally in recent years. For the uninitiated, Yakiniku, or 焼き肉 in Japanese, refers to barbecuing bite-size meats, one of the most popular styles of cooking in Japan.

This isn’t the super authentic kind of BBQ with charcoal, but it uses an electric grill instead. That is to be expected however, given its wallet friendly prices. It is simply for someone to get their quick fix of fuss free BBQ meats. :)

I’ll be honest and say I don’t really recall what I ordered. I simply opened the menu and picked a few different random platters of beef in different cuts. It also came with a few dipping sauces, a bowl of rice, and some small side dishes.

I don’t need to know which cuts of beef those were to enjoy my meal though. Once BBQ-ed properly, every single mouthful was full of nice juicy goodness. I happily filled my belly until not a single slice of meat was left.

This definitely satisfied that craving I had. I’d expect that I’ll come back quite often to this chain of eateries. :)
