Se acerca la primavera en Venezuela una época donde se dice que marca el inicio del año en nuestro país, una época donde nace la alegría, los viajes y los paseos se hacen más amenos ya que la biodiversidad se exhibe en todo su esplendor. Es en ésta época que me inspiré para realizar un trabajo de arte y darle color a una Gorra Negra que tenía guardada mucho tiempo porque no tenía ningún tipo de estilo ni vistosidad; utilizando pintura textil en distintos tonos primaverales. Aquí te muestro todo el proceso de como lo hice.

Spring is approaching in Venezuela, a time where it is said to mark the beginning of the year in our country, a time where joy is born, travel and walks become more enjoyable as biodiversity is exhibited in all its splendor. It is in this season that I was inspired to make an artwork and give color to a Black Cap that I had kept for a long time because it did not have any kind of style or showiness; using textile paint in different spring tones. Here I show you the whole process of how I did it.
Para comenzar con el diseño de la gorra, apliqué unas góticas de suavizante en la pintura blanca que utilicé para hacer el fondo blanco del corazón. Éste truco con el suavizante, permitirá que el pincel se deslice sobre la tela con mucha suavidad y sea más cómodo el proceso, además que tendrá un rico olor.
To start with the cap design, I applied a few drops of fabric softener on the white paint I used to make the white background of the heart. This trick with the softener will allow the brush to glide over the fabric very smoothly and make the process more comfortable, plus it will have a rich smell.
Después que hice el corazón blanco y esperé qué secara la pintura, procedí a aplicar pintura rosada para rellenar todo el corazón.
After I made the white heart and waited for the paint to dry, I proceeded to apply pink paint to fill in the whole heart.
Luego que secó la pintura rosada, hice unas líneas irregulares, para crear un efecto de sombras y brillos blancos.
After the pink paint dried, I made some irregular lines, to create an effect of white shadows and glows.
Dibujé con pintura blanca, un puente en la parte superior del corazón, éste es para crear un arcoiris, lo Pinté de blanco, para que los colores queden más nítido, ya que la gorra es negra y los.colores sin fondo blanco quedarían muy oscuros y opacos.
I drew with white paint, a bridge on the top of the heart, this is to create a rainbow, I painted it white, so that the colors are sharper, as the cap is black and the colors without white background would be very dark and opaque.
Cuando secó la pintura blanca, procedí a colocar los colores representativos del arcoiris, para los tonos morados y naranja, ligué los colores azul y rosado para el Violeta y el rosado con amarillo para rl color naranja.
When the white paint was dry, I proceeded to place the representative colors of the rainbow, for the purple and orange tones, I linked the blue and pink colors for the Violet and the pink with yellow for the orange color.
Cómo se trata de la primavera, también coloqué flores en la parte inferior del corazón, éstas flores las hice dibujando primero con pintura amarilla, unas pequeñas semi-curvas en espiral hasta formar la forma de unas rositas. Así realicé dos rositas más, azul y blanca.
As it is about spring, I also placed flowers at the bottom of the heart, these flowers were made by drawing first with yellow paint, small semi-curves in a spiral to form the shape of roses. Then I made two more roses, blue and white.
Una vez listas las rositas, procedí a pintar las hojitas en tono verde, distribuyendolas alrededor de las éstas.
Once the roses were ready, I proceeded to paint the leaves in green, distributing them around the roses.
A los lados del corazón grande realicé otros corazones más pequeños, pintando primero el fondo y luego los colores elegidos para éstos.
On the sides of the big heart I made other smaller hearts, painting first the background and then the colors chosen for them.
Con la ayuda de un lápiz ✏️ dibujé la palabra amor, fe y esperanza.
With the help of a pencil ✏️ I drew the word love, faith and hope.
Después seguí las líneas de las letras con los colores escogidos para cada una de lasnpalabras.
Then I followed the lines of the letters with the colors chosen for each of the words.
Para resaltar los corazones de los laterales, hice corazones blancos, con las líneas, una parte dentro y otra parte fuera de los corazones, para crear un efecto relieve.
To highlight the hearts on the sides, I made white hearts, with the lines partly inside and partly outside the hearts, to create a relief effect.
Cómo la gorra tiene un logo en un costado de la gorra, lo cubrí primero con pintura negra y después que secó la pintura negra, apliqué pintura blanca.
Since the cap has a logo on the side of the cap, I covered it first with black paint and after the black paint dried, I applied white paint.
Cuando la pintura blanca secó, hice tres franjas sobre ésta, una verde, una rosada y una azul.
When the white paint dried, I made three stripes over it, one green, one pink and one blue.
Finalmente escribí mi
@ sobre la franja tricolor, con pintura negra.
Finally I wrote my
@ on the tricolor stripe, with black paint.
