So I've been using the Electroneum app as it allows you to cloud mine for the cryptocurrency very similar to PI. The difference being electroneum is actually a currency while PI is not. Electroneum as of last checking is worth $0.009 so not much, but if you can mine it easily for free it's more than worth it in my book!
Electroneum also has the same goal as PI to become "the peoples cryptocurrency" to be the most circulated and accessible and be a part of everything from small and large transactions to big multi million dollar deals while also playing a role in the internet of things. Electroneum I think could very easily do that and as it's already a cryptocurrency it's got a leg up on pi but Pi has a larger userbase due to it's all inclusive mining and advertising. It's got a much larger userbase before it even starts. Electroneum as said above very easily could beat them to that goal.
