Hello friends of the #education community, how are you? Hopefully we are all in good health and success together with all our students. In this post, I want to share information about how I instill habits in students about the responsibility of maintaining classroom cleanliness.
One way of habituation that we still maintain in maintaining and preserving classroom cleanliness as a place of learning for students is by dividing classroom cleaning duty duties to students in our school. This duty is divided into 6 groups of duty to maintain and preserve the cleanliness of the classroom or study room from Monday to Saturday.
With the duty that I schedule as a group, it is hoped that it will create habits in students for the following things:
- Increase students' awareness of the importance of maintaining and preserving cleanliness. With this awareness, it is hoped that a comfortable, clean and well-organized learning atmosphere will be created in the classroom.
Increase collective responsibility among students in maintaining and preserving classroom cleanliness. Each cleaning group will work together to maintain and preserve the cleanliness of the classroom, starting from sweeping, mopping to arranging the classroom every day.
Increase cooperation between students in a cleaning group. Cooperation is an important thing that must be done in teamwork. With team cohesion, a comfortable classroom will be produced as a place to learn. Here, as an educator, I always emphasize cohesion to each cleaning group. Each cleaning group will try to always be compact, especially I do not hesitate to give praise to the group that is most compact in maintaining the cleanliness of the classroom.
That is the way I still do until now to create positive habits in maintaining and preserving the cleanliness of the classroom.
