El género de misterio policiales es algo que atrae mucho mi atención, me gusta pensar junto al detective sobre lo ocurrido y tomar las pistas de la propia trama para construir el rompecabezas, normalmente me decepcionan las películas en las cuales ese rompecabezas es muy fácil de dilucidar, por otro lado, aquellas películas que no tienes idea de lo que sucede o sucederá, pero se basan en un argumento totalmente lógico que en muchos casos vienen acompañados de giros en la trama, resultan ser de las más atractivas para mí. Dicho esto, una película que me habían recomendado era Prisoners. Aquí mi opinión

Una película que ya tan solo con la aparición de Hugh Jackman y Jake Gyllenhaal tiene un cierto grado de curiosidad en la propuesta, actores ya bastante conocidos incluso desde ese 2013, año en que se estrenó este filme. Sabemos de sus capacidades para la creación de personajes, lo cual escribiré un poco más adelante.

La Trama (sin Spoilers)

El enfoque del filme se basa en la desaparición de unas pequeñas niñas, lo que sumerge a la familia en una situación de alto estrés, esto afecta tanto la mente que se pueden hacer cosas impensadas para tan solo conseguir una pista que les lleve a su paradero, por otro lado, el trabajo del detective para investigar un caso que parece no tener salida alguna, el tiempo pasa y las probabilidades de encontrar a las niñas va disminuyendo con cada día.

Nos encontramos con un ambiente bastante frío y lluvioso, un clima que acompaña muy bien el contexto de la historia, una historia que nos presenta algunas pistas sobre lo sucedido, pero que ciertamente no son suficientes para comprender el hecho por completo. El guion se basa en lugar de tener una narrativa tan engorrosa para el caso, se enfoca en las dudas que nos va generando la trama con el pasar del tiempo, pasando de sospechar de una persona a otra, llevándonos por un laberinto en donde en ocasiones nos encontramos sin salida. Esto lo hace interesante y un poco más difícil de llegar al punto de estar convencidos de lo que realmente ha sucedido y dar con el culpable.

La trama es interesante. Con dos horas y media de metraje, el filme toma su tiempo para crear el camino del laberinto del caso. Para quienes les gusta este tipo de películas es un tiempo necesario, pero para quienes son faltos de paciencia, puede ser un poco estresante.

Actuación

Hugh Jackman en un papel bastante cómodo para él, llevando una actuación con un estilo que ya hemos visto y que concuerda con papeles que lo han llevado a la fama, me parece un gran personaje, con defectos, obsesiones, pero con un gran amor por su familia, lo cual lo lleva hasta el final para unir nuevamente a las personas más importantes de su vida.

Jake Gyllenhaal, desempeña un papel de detective e investigador que también ha realizado anteriormente, por lo que lo hace bastante bien desde cierto punto de vista, pero a mi parecer, Hugh Jackman es quien representa el personaje que más recordaremos en este filme.

¿Es difícil resolver el caso?

No es tan fácil como podríamos pensar, debido a que el guion nos hace dudar en varias ocasiones, por lo que no lo hace tan sencillo, pero hay escenas reveladoras en donde podemos dar con el caso pocos minutos antes de su revelación o giro en la trama, en mi caso, debo confesar que no pude atinarle al caso, solo minutos antes de ese punto revelador del filme.

Opinión Final

Es un filme entretenido, que nos lleva a entender incluso aspectos psicológicos tanto del padre de familia, del detective y del antagonista. Cubrir los perfiles psicológicos siempre condimenta muy bien este tipo de narrativa aumentando su valoración.

Para mí, es un filme con un metraje correcto, por supuesto, habrá quienes prefieran ver algo más corto y es totalmente comprensible.
