Ice / Eis

In addition to snow-covered mountains and snowy forests, ice is one of the most beautiful things that winter produces.

Neben schneebedeckten Bergen und Wäldern gehört Eis zu den schönsten Sachen, die der Winter hervorbringt.

The most important requirement for ice is, of course, that it is cold, and in the Zadnjica valley in Slovenia it was cold enough last week, at least in the shady areas, so that some ice could form at the stream.

Voraussetzung für Eis ist natürlich, dass es kalt ist, und im Zadnjica Tal in Slowenien war es letzte Woche zumindest in den schattigen Bereichen kalt genug, so dass am Bach auch etwas Eis entstanden ist.

Unfortunately it has been too warm lately for a lot of ice to form, which is why I was twice as happy to be able to take at least these photos.

Leider ist es in letzter Zeit trotzdem viel zu warm gewesen, als dass viel Eis entstehen hätte können, weshalb ich doppelte Freude hatte, zumindest diese Fotos machen zu können.

The Zadnjica valley is partly shady, which is why it remained cool enough on these warm days that these small icicles remained frozen.

Das Zadnjica Tal liegt zum Teil relativ schattig, weshalb es dort auch an diesen warmen Tagen kühl genug geblieben ist, dass diese kleinen Eiszapfen gefroren blieben.
