(ENG-SPA) FRIED EGG PENDANTS IN COLD PORCELAIN 🍳✨🎨💛

Un saludo súper especial para todas las personas que conforman esta linda comunidad. Espero que se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy. Como deben intuir o ya han podido notar, estoy súper emocionada con el tema de contenido del día de hoy. Traje nada más y nada menos que una evidencia de que pude cumplir una de mis metas, que era hacer mis propios colgantes con porcelana fría. Además, el tema que elegí para hacerlos es algo que me fascina, pues hace varios meses atrás había visto unos colgantes de huevos fritos que me encantaron en un stand de ventas en un evento de anime, que por falta de costo no tuve la dicha de adquirir.

A super special greeting to everyone who is part of this lovely community. I hope you're all doing very well today. As you may guess or have already noticed, I’m super excited about today’s content. I brought nothing more and nothing less than proof that I was able to accomplish one of my goals, which was to make my own pendants with cold porcelain. Also, the theme I chose is something I absolutely love, because several months ago I saw some fried‑egg pendants at an anime event stand that I adored, but I couldn’t buy them at the time due to the price.

Pero hoy podemos demostrar que cuando no podemos tener algo en el momento, no necesariamente significa que nunca vaya a pasar, sino que a veces cada cosa encuentra su momento justo.

But today we can prove that when we can’t have something at the moment, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will never happen — sometimes things simply find their right moment.

Nunca pensé que moldear en porcelana fría se me hiciera tan fácil. A pesar de que mi porcelana no quedó de la mejor manera ni ha tenido el mejor mantenimiento, aún así he encontrado muchas formas de sacarle el máximo provecho. Ya sin más lore y preámbulo, les muestro cómo los hice.

I never thought molding cold porcelain would feel so easy for me. Even though my porcelain didn’t turn out in the best condition and hasn’t had the best maintenance, I’ve still found many ways to make the most out of it. Without further lore or preamble, let me show you how I made them.

• Estecas para modelar además de palillos y agujas o herramientas puntiagudas. 🧷📌📍
• Pintura al frío amarilla naranja, marrón y blanca. 💛🧡🤎🤍
• Crema de manos y aceite de bebé. 👶🤲

• Homemade cold porcelain. ⚪
• Modeling tools, plus toothpicks, needles, or any pointed tools. 🧷📌📍
• Cold paint in yellow, orange, brown, and white. 💛🧡🤎🤍
• Hand cream and baby oil. 👶🤲

• PROCEDIMIENTO • ✨🖌️ • PROCEDURE •

Tomamos una porción de porcelana fría y vamos a intentar amasarla muy bien. Si la masa está seca, le agregamos un poco de crema para manos. Amasaremos con nuestras palmas para darle calor y que se integre bien la crema, y seguido a ello, vamos a colocar un poco de aceite de bebé en las manos para complementar la hidratación y que, al mismo tiempo, la masa no se nos adhiera a la piel. Lo primero que haremos será volver las dos porciones de masa en bolitas, y de ambas sacaremos una porción de cada una para hacer la yema.

Take a portion of cold porcelain and knead it very well. If the dough is dry, add a bit of hand cream. Knead it with your palms to warm it up and help the cream integrate, and then apply a little baby oil to your hands to add extra hydration and prevent the dough from sticking to your skin. The first thing we’ll do is turn both portions of dough into little balls, and from each one take a small piece to make the yolk.

La porción más grande la volveremos a hacer una bolita y, con ayuda de nuestro dedo pulgar, la aplastaremos sobre la superficie en la que estamos trabajando. Con ayuda de las yemas de los dedos, le daremos una forma más realista e irregular. Ahora, lo que a ustedes les parezca más bonito lo pueden hacer en forma de nubes, flores o sin ninguna forma en particular; yo decidí hacerlo como una especie de trébol.

Take the larger portion, roll it into a ball again, and flatten it with your thumb on your work surface. Use your fingertips to give it a more realistic and irregular shape. You can shape it however you find cutest — clouds, flowers, or no specific shape at all. I decided to make mine look like a clover.

Posteriormente, vamos a marcar con la esteca de bolita pequeña el lugar en donde queremos añadir la yema.

Next, use a small ball‑tip tool to mark the spot where you want to place the yolk.

Haremos una bolita el resto de dicha masa, le agregaremos un poco de pintura y la amasaremos para teñirla. Haremos una bolita nuevamente y la colocaremos en la marca que hicimos, aplastándola un poquito con nuestros dedos.

Make a small ball with that dough, add a bit of paint, and knead it to tint it. Roll it into a ball again and place it on the mark you made, pressing it down slightly with your fingers.

En cuanto a detalles, yo quise colocarle los bordes bastante gastados, como con burbujitas y agujeritos que se forman durante la cocción del huevo, y un agujero que es donde vamos a colocar los aritos para colgarlos.

For details, I wanted to give the edges a worn look, like the little bubbles and holes that form when frying an egg, and I also made a hole where the jump rings will go.

Vamos a engrasar con aceite de bebé un hule o plástico en donde queramos que se sequen las figuritas. Ahora sencillamente lo dejaremos secar en un lugar fresco durante el tiempo que sea necesario. Cabe resaltar que es necesario que el lugar no esté excesivamente frío ni excesivamente caliente; solo con una buena ventilación.

Grease a piece of plastic or rubber with baby oil where you want the pieces to dry. Then simply let them dry in a cool place for as long as needed. It’s important that the area is not too cold or too hot — just well‑ventilated.

Una vez estén secos, vamos a tomar pintura amarilla y naranja. En el centro colocaremos más amarillo y en los bordes tomaremos toquecitos de naranja; los difuminaremos para que se vean como la sombra de la yema.

Once dry, take yellow and orange paint. Add more yellow in the center and small touches of orange around the edges, blending them to create the yolk’s shadow.

Dejaremos que se seque y, seguido a ello, vamos a tomar un poco de pintura blanca y toquecitos de marrón. Lo iremos mezclando con un poquito de agua para que corra más líquido y daremos toquecitos con ayuda de un pincel de cerdas gruesas alrededor del huevo para que se vea relativamente tostado o cocido. Para mí, eso es un toque muy especial.

Let it dry, then take a bit of white paint and small touches of brown. Mix them with a little water so they’re more fluid, and use a stiff‑bristle brush to dab around the egg so it looks slightly toasted or cooked. To me, that’s a very special touch.

Ahora, para sellar nuestras obras maestras plásticas/culinarias, vamos a usar el top coat. Lo vamos a añadir primero en la yema; checaremos durante 2 minutos con lámpara. Luego, en la clara repetimos el procedimiento, procurando que no se filtre barniz por el agujero porque se taparía.

Now, to seal our plastic/culinary masterpieces, we’ll use top coat. Apply it first on the yolk and cure it for 2 minutes under the lamp. Then repeat the process on the egg white, making sure the varnish doesn’t seep into the hole or it will get blocked.

Una vez terminada la parte de arriba, haremos la parte de abajo; verifiquen que cada capa quede correctamente secada, dura y resistente. Si queda aguada, no funcionará como queremos ni tendrá la suficiente durabilidad ni resistencia.

Once the top side is done, do the bottom side. Make sure each layer cures properly and becomes hard and resistant. If it stays soft, it won’t work as intended or have enough durability.

Por último, añadimos los aritos que elegimos y los colocamos con cuidado en los agujeritos que hicimos. Y listo: el pollo y pelada la gallina, o bueno, los pollos líquidos. 🍳🥚✨

Lastly, add the jump rings you chose and carefully place them into the holes you made. And that’s it: the chicken and the plucked hen — or well, the liquid chickens. 🍳🥚✨
