It's unseasonably cool here today, overcast with almost constant drizzle. At a roadside vegetable stand several days ago I had bought two vidalia onions complete with the green tops, almost a foot total length. I spent a great deal of my time on the phone and in online chat with Allstate (my insurance company, I sure don't feel like "I'm in Good Hands") I got the claim filed under vandalism, it would be covered (but I would have to pay the $500 deductible) and I thought that was that. I was told to check in with the "Collision Repair Shop" (one I chose from a list they provided)

Somewhere, over the AtlanticWe left Atlanta around Midnight on March 28th, it was dark outside, I was miserable because of my stupid COPD flare up. I had a cloth mask in case anyone thought I was contagious (I wasn't), after takeoff, the coughing became embarrassing. Then I had the thought "The air in this cabin must be dry as hell" so I borrowed some water from my cellmate... I mean seat mate, wet the mask, put it over my breathing holes and “Voila!" the coughing almost completely stopped. We ate a bite, the lights got dim, and even in this smaller than a postage stamp seating space (thank you British Airways) I managed to sleep for a few hours. Then the sun arose

It's hard to make out in this image, but on the far right are slices of "Pineapple Upsidedown cake (two uncovered for this image) waiting so that when time to eat dessert, I put a scoop of Pineapple Sherbet on each one. Then then next to the left is the beverage station, whether you wanted Wine, Tea or water. Then the table was set for FIVE PEOPLE (myself included) In the center of the table is a dark green glass bowl with home made coleslaw, made from home grown cabbage (the outer leaves, dark purple and green cabbage, tougher and stronger flavored) mayonaise and dill relish. Continuing counter clockwise, on the corner is a small container of sour cream with dried chives, a bowl with 5 ROASTED potatoes, softened butter nearby. Sliced veggies to build your own salad, based on "baby spring greens"

I've been trying to stay positive, I really have. In fact this journey began last week with a trip to Marietta Ga (!worldmappin 33.94937 lat -84.54661 long d3scr) I used to go to "the Sing Thing and String" in Marietta as often as I could, but it was a long way for me. It was held once a week on Tuesday. Then the host/creator of the event (neighbors and friends gathered to just play and sing) died. After a period of mourning, it began again at a different location, once a month. The new host was/is less popular, but still an excuse to gather should be taken advantage of. I have not in 5 yrs until last Tuesday. I went, apprehensive about my long lapse in practice, my new guitar and sore finger tips, but I was able to play and sing better than I'd hoped. (sorry, no pics from that night) I rode with my niece since driving at night is problematic for me, and this new location is in DOWNTOWN MARIETTA, not far from all the city gov't buildings and the old city square
