When the Illuminate somehow harnessed dark energy to move the Meridian Singularity toward Super Earth, many planets were destroyed along the path. We stopped it in the nick of time, but they used it as a wormhole to launch a massive fleet close to our home.
This game is older than I am. My parents had (and probably still have) the original version, and I have fond memories of learning deduction using it. This is based on similar pen-and-paper games like Cows and Bulls, and modern word game players will find it similar to wordle, except it uses colored pegs instead of words. It seems the designer, one Mordechai Meirovitz, had difficulty selling the idea to game publishers, but when a small British company called Invicta Plastics bought the rights and made some improvements for retail, it quickly exploded in popularity. Unfortunately, the company became insolvent and its assets were liquidated in 2013.
As I mentioned a couple days ago, Super Earth has been invaded! I have since done my best to help punish these enemies of democracy and resist the Illuminate incursions, but one of our Super Cities has been overrun. We must defend the rest, and re-take this lost center of humanity!
Last week, I wrote a short post about the sudden attack from the Illuminate through the Meridian singularity. The challenge for the week was a delaying action to give Super Earth time to rally defenses. We failed the Major Order with just a couple hours to go. I was planetside fighting for democracy when it happened.
After their crushing defeat at the hands of Helldivers and the superiority of Managed Democracy, the Illuminate entirely vanished from the galactic map for several days. However, this was but a momentary retreat. These sneaky squids and their mind-controlled voteless hordes have emerged from the Meridian Singularity to attack Super Earth!
This post is based on the intersection between religion and politics in the US over the past few decades. The "religious right" is by far the most vocal, but there is also a faction of American progressives with religious trappings. At the risk of gross oversimplification, I can distill these broad categories as follows.
