Sunrise in Cumberland Nature Reserve

There are two times during the day which are ideal for taking photos. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon. During both early morning as well as late afternoon, we have what they call, blue hour and a golden hour.
Okay, you might say "we all know that", but until about a year ago I didn't. I had to learn about the best times of day to get the best shots and blue hours and golden hours etc...
It was only since I discovered the joy and fun in photography that I started learning about these things. Before that, I would just go out and take a photo of what I thought would look nice, or to capture a memory. I didn't think about the time of day, the angle, the light, exposure, etc...
But now I'm learning...and that means that when I saw the topic for this week's #pobphotocontest, I was ready and excited.
The first photo in this post will be my entry for this week's #pobphotocontest
We recently spent a couple of days in the Cumberland Nature Reserve. I went outside as the new day arrived and I was able to get some nice shots of the sunrise over the African landscape.

The following two photos were taken a few minutes later.

The photos above were taken with a Nikon D3100 camera with a 18 - 55mm lens.

On a previous early-morning walk on the beachfront in Durban, I got this shot of some fishermen on the beach against the background of the rising sun.

The last mage was taken with my HUAWEI Y7 mobile phone.

And that's it for today, folks.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
