For the longest time, I thought you needed to come up with something completely original that nobody had done before in order to be a successful songwriter. It's only been in the past couple years that I've realized that nobody actually does that - everything is inspired by and stems from someone else's creation or thought.

This is my take on "Gatekeeper" by one of my favourite artists, #feist. Building on her melodies and using different instruments, I can create something that's never been heard before, and yet it's comfortable and familiar to the listener.
