I would have thought the greenbeans were done, but they are still coming in strong! Today I harvested our onion. They are not like the big ones at the grocery store, but there are a bunch of them and they look good!We got a handful of grape tomatoes too! And a large amount of basil.
1959 is the year that the penny changed. Instead of the iconic wheat back, the reverse depicted the Lincoln Memorial. This "new" obverse was not very popular. Going from the curvy wheat cent to the boxy building, was not a very liked decision.
When one person in our home gets "a little cold" there's nothing little about it. Even if the symptoms are mild, it causes a great disruption in our normal activities. It's good to be home! I've been working from home for years and I miss the ability to not miss family moments. Now that I'm away for hours at a time, there are precious moments I'll never get back... but it does make me appreciate the days that I am home and with family.
Today was my first seven hour walk day. Technically it was 6 hours with an hour break, but it was starting around one and ending at eight. Home by 8:30.It was a super hot day today, sweat was pouring down my back, into my eyes from my forehead, soaking the back of my head. Thankfully I had cold water in the car to refresh myself, but it's too heavy to carry with me. Very grateful to have found a neighbor offering free cold water to visitors.
