No Electricity for 12 Hours on Sunday

This Sunday experience happened last April 6, 2025, our Electric provider scheduled a power interruption for all areas it covers for maintenance purposes. Our provider is LimaEnerzone, one of the biggest companies in the Philippines under the Aboitiz Group of Companies. Currently in the Philippines, having no electricity at home will make your Day like H..l. Yes, you think it is right.

It's summer season in the Philippines right now, and it is so very hot. The Philippines' average heat index recently ranged by 35 degrees Celsius. Some areas are hitting 40 degrees Celsius already. Imagine that kind of temperature. But in our area in Lipa, it recorded 38 degrees Celsius, and it's too hot already, guys. On this temperature range, make sure you always stay hydrated, avoid crowds, and always have a place with proper ventilation.

When this interruption was scheduled, I had already looked for a place to stay during the interruption. I live in a townhouse apartment, and we cannot stand staying inside for an hour without the support of Electricity. It has less ventilation; that's why, when this kind of situation, we always find a place to stay outside.

I decided to stay in LIMA ESTATE, a business center near where I live. It is just five minutes away from the house. I just ride my motorcycle and look for a coffee shop to stay where I can power up my gadgets and also check my notifications.

This is CafeDeLipa, one of my on-the-go coffee shops. I usually order a Spanish Latte here, which is one of my favorite coffees they offer. It has a little bit of kick, but at the same time, I taste creaminess in the coffee, which is why I like it. Due to excitement, I didn't mind capturing it until I almost drank it out at this level 😅.

They also offer some pastries and some meal packages, and pasta if you like to eat. They have a broad range of coffees that you can try at home.

The cafe is usually empty, and few people are dining, but due to the interruption, I expect more people are also finding a place to cool off. It's 1:00 pm when I arrive, as expected, only a few chairs are vacant. It's great that theirs still a sofa for me to sit in. But theirs no outlet vacant and I need to wait for an hour for me to charge up, which is good for me to check and read some blogs.

I stayed here for three and a half hours, I just waited for the sun to set and lower the temperature outside to lower. Then I roam around the LIMA ESTATE.

LIMA ESTATE is a perfect place for leisure, family time, shopping, dining, coffe time, and recreation. The place is developed with outlets of different establishments and businesses. It has a shopping area, a coffee shop, restaurants, theme parks, a soccer field, a wide parking area, and more.

This is a one-stop place you will love to explore. One of the best parts of Lima is the theme park where kids and kids at heart love. Your kids and even you can try their adventure activities that your family surely loves. I stay here for an hour, I love seeing kids enjoying their time riding and adventuring in the activities with their family.

At 5:30 pm, I packed my things and went home. At six pm, the electricity will resume and light up the house and provide us again with the comfort we need.

On this blog, what I really want to impart is don't sacrifice your comfort, especially at this time, the weather and temperature can be the fatal cause of death. High heat index is a serious thing to deal. Others might neglect it, but it's a silent killer that affects everyone's health and condition.

Everyone at the time like this, always check your family or yourself, the condition, and the place they live in, especially our elderly. They are prone to heat stroke, high blood and can trigger their illnesses. Make sure to keep them hydrated and give them proper ventilation. In the Summer season like this always drink enough water and keep hydrated🥛.
