Zingtober, Advent Calendar and new Beta Starter reveals & naming contest!

Holo everyone!

First off we want to apologize for the long delay in posting, our founder (me) has been kind of feeling low holo energy lately and has mainly focused on voting on stuff and postponing the more important stuff.

Feeling a bit refreshed after drinking some alpha water and crafted tea, he's now back with this post.

A lot to cover so let's get to it!

After careful consideration, here's the tier list of achievements earned during the zingtober event:

The artists mentioned above will all be receiving a tiered special Zingtober achievement they will be able to claim once the handpicked artist has drawn them. The achievement will allow them to earn passive Zing rewards they can claim on our website on a daily basis.

For the top 3 handpicked artists with the prizes of 300 Hive for #1, 200 hive for #2 and 100 hive for #1 along with an additional $100 rewards for drawing the winning achievements (if they agree to do it), here's the results:

2025 Advent Calendar

Compared to the last December Contest results, this year there was less Holo Dust to be grabbed. We also decided to combine both contests for a special prize of total amount of Holo Dust owned from both events.

That said, there was also a case where on of the claiming users had a bad reputation (or no reputation/activity whatsoever) on hive due to the abuse factor, being a game that has been created on Hive and thanks to Hive, we take these issues serious if majority of the community are on the same page, thus we decided not to count this Holo Dust claim for the winning prize. We hope you understand this decision.

Now let's get into some new reveals!

After introducing our First Beta Starter in our previous post, here's the Water Type starter for the Beta vials, which will soon replace the Alpha Vials on our website, thus locking their supply.

This is our Beta Starter Water type creature, inspired by a seal and the arctic. Since we only have 3 starters in the Beta vials compared to Alpha's 4, these will be a bit more mixed in terms of types and type moves. Meaning this water type will also be able to learn Ice-type moves but instead have lower defenses and other stats compared to the Alpha creatures that are mainly one type.

Here's its evolution:

While this one will gain more agility and attack damage, it will still be weak in terms of defense, especially compared to our water-type alpha starter. It will however be able to learn powerful ice-type moves that can slow and weaken enemy defenses along with water-type moves.

Now for our Grass-type starter:

This one is inspired by an armadillo and it will also be able to learn ground-type moves making it quite a diverse creature with both grass and ground type moves. Similar to the alpha grass-type starter (;Wrackoo), it will have a bit higher defense compared to the other starters but instead be slow and not do too much damage, i.e. it's agility and attack will be on the lower side along with its HP.

This is the evolved form:

Bigger, rounder and thornier! The evolved form shows why it has a high defense with most of its body being protected by a big hexagon (hive logo?) shaped shell along with sharp leaves everywhere. Taking this creature down is surely to afflict your melee creatures with bleed damage and potential weaknesses to your status from its grass and ground-type moves along with its sharp attacks.

#### Naming contest

Now, this isn't just because we're lazy, in fact we've only had one naming contest in the past and that was for our Dragon type creatures. However we figured it was a good time to let the community participate in helping with naming the Beta starters.

Rules

Make sure it's something unique and relatable, i.e. quick google search that the name isn't already used in similar games/franchises or that it doesn't mean something horrific in certain languages.
Explain how you thought of the name/why (not always necessary)
Pick something no one has suggested yet (a quick ctrl-f in the comment section of the post)

While we may not force pick a suggested name from the contest, we may award your suggestion if it inspired the decided name as we did in the Dragon creatures' naming contest. If we go with something completely different, we'll just waive the prize rewards of that creature.

First come, first serve. I.e, if someone suggested a name before you, they'll get the credit.

Have fun with it but don't make it too complicated or too hard to pronounce, names should be simple and easy to remember & say out loud!
