Later it turned out that the outbreak was caused by a meteorite falling from the Lyrid meteor shower. This was reported by the Ukrainian Space Agency.
Lyrids are very fast and bright meteors. They do not leave long burning trails as they pass through the Earth's atmosphere.

Ліриди - дуже швидкі та яскраві метеори. Вони не залишають довгих палаючих слідів, проходячи крізь атмосферу Землі.
