Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.
For Hive Open Mic 300, we'll be exploring the theme "Original Songs" in a contest format to encourage musicians to continue building this community. Hive Open Mic currently has no sponsors; the 600 HIVE that will be distributed to the winners are courtesy of moderator @jesuslnrs. We encourage everyone to express themselves and connect through this theme. This is a pressure-free invitation to express yourself and connect, encouraging us to explore new territories together as artists. Musicians are always free to bring whatever music inspires them at any given time.

“Original Songs Contest"
Rules:
To qualify for week 300 of the Hive Open Mic, you must participate in this special edition's challenge. The Original Songs Contest involves sharing a video that adheres to our Community Guidelines, but this time it must be an original song. No covers, no improvisations—it must be an original song.
We'll be offering 600 Hive in prizes for the best musical entries that meet the requirement of recording a video of their original song. The winners will be chosen by the moderation team and announced in the post that kicks off week 301. The prize will be distributed as follows:
Suggestions:
You must share an original song to be eligible for some of our prizes, but simply sharing the song isn't enough. Sound quality and recording are important factors in our evaluation. At Hive Open Mic, we're looking for artists who elevate Hive's musical niche, so the following will be taken into account:
Follow all the rules in our Community Guidelines.
Voice and musical instruments in tune.
Record the video in well-lit and visually appealing spaces.
Avoid external noise.
Edit the video in a way that is pleasing to the viewer and prevent it from cutting off before the end.
Appropriate attire for a musician who is nominated for an award.
The suggestions are not decisive in choosing the winners; the important thing is to follow the rules, but these aspects will be taken into account for the final decision. In conclusion, the effort to do a good job should be noted, not only for week 300, but for every musical entry made in our Hive Open Mic community. It's not about striving for perfection, but rather creating enjoyable content worthy of rewards. At Hive, the most important thing is to offer quality in our videos, our photos, and our writing.

The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our encouragement. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Let's reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Here, musicians and listeners gain connection across the world, through people of various cultures and languages. This is the harmonizing power of music.
