Hello warriors, how are you doing today? Happy Sunday to all of you.
We are given a
Briar Patch in this week's battle mage Secrets Weekly Challenge. What a sweet rule to write about. I'm looking forward to reading your post and arrangement. I have come across warriors that used melee monsters; yet, they won; I have been paired with many warriors and it was a difficult battle.
Let me share my experience with you here: there was a day I was paired up with someone.
Briar Patch and super sneaky was included. No magic monster, no range monsters, only melee monsters. The guy was too smart, he used two monsters with a demoralized shield and summoner that reduced the melee of monsters.. that was how three melee was reduced from all my monsters.
The highest melee of my monsters were two; four of my monsters had 1 melee attack. He used shield 🛡️ ability as the first and last. That was how my monsters got eliminated by Briar Patch.

Ruleset🔥🔥
There are three rules in this battle, they are:
Born Again: All monsters have the rebirth ability.
The rule was the reason my opponent brought Fungus Flinger into the battle; and the purpose was to increase the stats of Quora Towershed.
My opponent knew the value and ability of Fungus Flinger. When the monster was killed twice, the two attacks- melee and magic of Increased to 4.
By the time Quora Towershed led the battle, I was very happy because I knew that Adelade Brightwing would continue to repair the armor of Iziah, of which without Adelade Brightwing, Quora Towershed would have been a big threat.
Even with two healing abilities in my lineup, it wouldn't have been easy.
Armor Up: All monsters have two armor in addition to their normal armor stat.
When this rule is activated, all monsters have additional armor. The only thing to do to remove this armor is to use
Noa the Just. But such a monster is not necessary in this battle since the majority of the monsters in the battle were magic attacks. They attack the health of a monster directly.
Briar Patch: All monsters have the thorns ability.
The moment I saw this rule, I knew that the best thing was to ignore melee monsters. Therefore, I came up with a plan to use magic.
Attempting to use melee attack means each time a melee monster attacks, the thorns damage the armor or the health of an attacking monster.
I have encountered a thorns rule many times in battles where I don't have the option than to use melee monsters. The thorns ability eliminated the majority of my monsters. Since then I have learned my lesson.
Using range monsters would not be appropriate for me because monsters with range attacks must first destroy armor before health, and what I needed was monsters that could attack the health directly.
Therefore, magic monsters are cool to use when
Briar Patch is activated.

We have seem
Since melee attack monsters take damage in this kind of battle due to
Briar Patch rule; it wasn't a good idea to use melee monsters be; be it melee monsters with sneak, shield and opportunity abilities. This was my biggest assumption in this battle and that was the reason I used magic attacks from the beginning to the end.
I knew that the two abilities of
Iziah would be beneficial in this battle.
Firstly, the void ability was good because I was aware that my opponent would rather come with magic or range attack monsters. My intuition of my opponent using magic attacks prompted me to place
Iziah in the first position. That was the reason it was difficult for opponent monsters to destroy
Iziah in this battle.
Secondly, I knew there were sneak monsters with magic attacks.. using this type of a monster could be detrimental; but my strategy of using
Iziah would not allow such a monster to attack from behind due to the taunt ability unless the taunt monster is eliminated.
Adelade Brightwing

Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Magic 🪄🪄
Mana: 7
I had the possibility that my opponent would use a range or melee monsters: and one of the strategies I could use was to bring
Adelade Brightwing in this battle. I brought
Adelade to the battle to:
Keep repairing the armor of
Iziah; by doing so it would be difficult to eliminate.
Since
Iziah is susceptible to melee and ranged attacks; it was important to bring
Adelade Brightwing to delay. You could see when the opponent's
Quora Towershed led the attack. The repair ability of
Adelade Brightwing made it difficult for Quora to destroy
Izia. Without
Adelade Brightwing, there was no way to keep this Iziah for so long in the front: It would have been eliminated. As Quora Towershed was damaging the armor, Adelade was repairing it.
Note: one thing was my bone of contention; monsters with blast ability. I knew if such a monster was included in my opponent's lineup, it would have been hell. Such a monster could affect the second adjacent monster which was Adelade Brightwing: and that could have ended her life.
Divine Healer

Ability: Healing ♦️♦️
Health: 4❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Magic 🪄
Mana: 3
Reinforcement was necessary here; there was no way
Iziah would have stayed longer in the front line of battle without
Divine Healer and
Venari Crystalsmith.
Since it was understandable that the monster that would be attacked massively in this battle was
Iziah due to its taunt ability. It was necessary for me to use monsters with healing ♦️♦️ ability to keep
Iziah.
That was the reason I used
Divine healer ♦️♦️.
Doctor Blight

Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 1🚤
Ability: Affliction, Camouflage and Poison
Health: 4❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Magic 🪄
Mana: 4
Something must be done to stop the most powerful monster from the opponent's side. I knew that one of the competent monsters to stop such a monster was
Doctor Blight.
That was the reason I brought
Doctor Blight to the limelight.
Affliction and poison abilities was the reason I brought him to the battle.
With the help of
Doctor Blight, opponent's
Quora Towershed was poisoned and afflicted; it could no longer increased her health and
Goblin Psychic control no longer heal her.
Venari Crystalsmith
Divine Healer Splinter: Life 🧬🧬

Ability: Healing ♦️♦️
Health: 5❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Range
Mana: 4
I had feelings that only
Divine Healer would not be able to do the job perfectly; then, I introduced
Venari Crystalsmith. What gave me confidence to use two monsters with healing ♦️♦️ ability was the
Silvershield Bard. With the presence of
Silvershield, I knew that
Iziah would always be cleansed from any impurity. Therefore, nothing could stop
Venari Crystalsmith and
Divine Healer ♦️♦️♦️ from healing.
Silvershield Bard
Divine Healer

Level: 3⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Ability: cleanse
Health: 2❤️🩹❤️🩹
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Magic 🪄
Mana: 1
It was understandable that
Silvershield Bard could not attack in that position. I placed the monster, I brought
Silvershield Bard to this battle because of one reason.. the reason was to cleanse everyone of the negative effects that may affect
Iziah.
I understand the battle that the moment
Iziah is eliminated, I would lose the battle. That was the reason I brought
Silvershield Bard to cleanse it.
After I selected my monsters for this battle, I created space for
Silvershield Bard because I knew the opponent would like to attack
Iziah with different negative abilities such as affliction, poison and more.
When I was selecting monsters, I saw the availability of dangerous monsters such as
Doctor Blight,
Captain Ghost, and
Goblin Psychic; I knew my opponent would come with a dangerous monster that could affect
Divine Healer and
Venari Crystalsmith from healing the health of
Iziah; that was another reason I came up with
Silvershield Bard.
I knew that the only reason that Silvershield could be eliminated in battle is when my opponent uses a scattershot monster. That is the only monster that could attack any other monsters when a taunt ability monster is in a battle.
Appart from such a monster, it would be very difficult to attack Silvershield Bard. Because my opponent won't like to use melee monsters as they would be damaged by thorns.
🔥🔥
Round 1-2🔥🔥

The opponent used a summoner called
Lobb Lowland, a summoner that reduces -1 speed from the opponent's monsters. The speed of my monsters were reduced; the highest speed in my lineup was 2. Hence, two of his monsters had an edge to attack faster than the rest of my monsters.
Fungus Flinger was eliminated in this battle twice, which was part of my opponent to increase the stat of
Quora Towershed. The rebirth ability in this battle made
Quora Towershed stronger when
Fungus Flinger was eliminated twice.
Despite massive attacks from my lineup,
Fungus Flinger with just 4 health was eliminated in the second round. That is to show you the power of monsters with
healing abilities ♦️♦️. It was possible because my opponent had two healing monsters on his lineup.
🔥🔥
Round 2- 7🔥🔥

At this point, Opponent's
Quora Towershed led the battle with 4 magic and melee attacks.
Quora Towershed was too difficult to eliminate: as she was attacked, the two monsters with healing ♦️♦️ kept on increasing her health. We all know that
Quora Towershed is a healing health monster.
Despite being poisoned in the third round, she showed no sign of dying; the poison did not affect her.
She continued to show resilience until she was afflicted in round 6. If not because of the affliction, the battle would have more than 20 rounds.
The moment she was afflicted by
Doctor Blight, she could not heal herself,
Goblin Psychic and
Wood Nymph could not heal her. That was the beginning of her fall.
She was finally eliminated in round 7. It took 5 rounds to bring her down.
Though, it was clear that Goblin Psychic afflicted Iziah but was cleansed by Silvershield Bard each round. If not Silvershield Bard, Iziah would have been eliminated before Quora Towershed.
Silvershield Bard and Doctor Blight were instrumental in bringing Quora Towershed down.
🔥🔥
Round 8-12🔥🔥

It took only 4 rounds to eliminate the rest of the monsters. It took so long due to the
Born Again rule. Finally I won the battle without a single of my monsters eliminated.
