भगवान बद्री को समर्पित मन्दिर बद्रीनाथ जोकि चार धाम का हिस्सा है और माना जाता है सभी को अपने जीवन काल मे कम से कम एक बार तो यहां जाना ही चाहिए के कपाट 27 अप्रैल को खुल रहे हैं।
बद्री विशाल के कपाट हर साल बसन्त पंचमी के दिन खुलते हैं, इसी दिन से देश विदेश से आये श्रद्धालु भगवान बद्री के दर्शन विजय दशमी तक करते हैं। लगभग 6 महीने कपाट बंद रहने के बाद प्रभु अपने भक्तों को 27 अप्रैल को दर्शन देंगे।
मन्दिर के आसपास बहुत सी पवित्र जगहें हैं जहां श्रद्धालु घूम सकते हैं जैसे कि हिंदुस्तान का आखिरी गांव माना गांव, वसुधारा झरना, ब्यास गुफा, गणेश गुफा, चरण पादुका, नीलकण्ठ बेस कैंप, सतोपंथ ताल और मन्दिर के बगल में स्थित कर्ण कुंड या तप्त कुंड जिससे गर्म पानी निकलता है।
यह मंदिर नर और नारायण पर्वत के नीचे स्थित है। हर साल लाखों की संख्या में श्रद्धालु यहां पहुंचकर भगवान से आशीर्वाद ग्रहण करते हैं। मैं यहां 4 बार जा चुका हूँ और हर बार यह स्थान मुझे अपने वश में कर लेता है।
