Today, I'd like to show you to some rather old murals on two **car garages in Montreal**. For some time now, I've been trying to find the names of the artists behind these walls. But my search was unsuccessful, so instead of keeping the photos on my hard drive, I'm showing them to you, because despite the years, they're quality. > *Aujourd'hui, je vous présente des murales plutôt anciennes qui se trouvent sur **deux garages automobiles à Montréal**. It's a pity that the lettering on the top left gives no indication of the artists. But I love the meaning of these letters **LHOOQ**, a [work by Marcel Duchamp](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L.H.O.O.Q.), a Mona Lisa with whiskers and the title LHOOQ, a play on words with Look in English and especially if you pronounce each letter in French it gives "Elle A Chaud au Cul" ("She is hot in the arse") 😀. > *La peinture a pris un coup de vieux et un seul tag est venu détériorer ce mur. Mais j'aime la signification de ces lettres **LHOOQ**, une [œuvre de Marcel Duchamp](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/L.H.O.O.Q.), une Joconde avec des moustaches et le titre LHOOQ, jeu de mots avec Look en anglais et surtout si on prononce chaque lettre cela donne "Elle A Chaud au Cul"* 😀.

*** A little further east, still in Montreal, on Avenue Des Érables, there's another garage with an equally old mural. But here too, all you can see is the passage of time, with crumbling paint and no tags. > *Un peu plus loin à l'est, toujours dans Montréal, sur l'Avenue Des Érables, il y a un autre garage avec une murale aussi vieille. I don't have any info either on the artists who painted this piece.
