Un Gran Tango para guitarra solista.
Sería muy atrevido de mi parte decir que soy amante del Tango o fanático del género musical, pero sí he tenido mis encuentros con el ritmo suramericano, he llegado a mostrar aquí en Hive una que otra pieza de Tango que me estudio por mi oficio como guitarrista.
Tango in Skai es una de esas piezas que son obligatorias para los guitarristas solistas, pero a pesar de que es como un Standard no es para nada fácil, hay que tener una lectura y técnicas muy buenas para lograr una optima interpretación.
Es una obra emblemática que ha llegado a estar en muchos conciertos del mundo, grandes guitarristas solistas la han interpretado incluso Cuartetos de cuerda la han ejecutado!
La Perfección es algo Subjetivo.
Voy a decir con honestidad que llegué a tocar con algunas notas sucias en esta grabación, no es la interpretación más perfecta que existe... pero... ya va... O ¿tal vez sí lo es...?
He llegado a escuchar Tango, y las guitarras son tocadas con mucha pasión, mucho peso en la mano derecha y a veces suena sucio debido a que así suena el tango... Cuando uno esta tocando este estilo más importa la pasión y el feeling antes que tener mucho cuidado de que una nota salga "sucia"... No podemos sacrificar la musicalidad por la limpieza sonora...
Imprimirle a las notas musicales del tango esa fuerza característica no solo del aspecto sonoro sino tambien del baile es algo necesario para una interpretación idónea.
Sinceramente esta pieza siempre la voy a tocar así, buscando expresividad dancística antes que una extrema limpieza sin sentido, la filosofía del tango, su vinculación con lo urbano, con el peligro de la calle, los enamoramientos apasionados... Eso requiere una sonoridad más allá de los lineamientos clásicos.

A Great Tango for solo guitar.
It would be very bold of me to say that I am a Tango lover or a fanatic of the musical genre, but I have had my encounters with the South American rhythm, I have even shown here in Hive one or another Tango piece that I study because of my profession as a guitarist.
Tango in Skai is one of those pieces that are mandatory for solo guitarists, but although it is like a Standard it is not easy at all, you have to have a very good reading and techniques to achieve an optimal interpretation.

Perfection is a subjective thing.
I'm going to honestly say that I got to play with some dirty notes on this recording, it's not the most perfect rendition out there... but... it's coming.... Or maybe it is...?
I have come to listen to Tango, and the guitars are played with a lot of passion, a lot of weight in the right hand and sometimes it sounds dirty because that's the way tango sounds.... When you are playing this style, passion and feeling are more important than being very careful that a note comes out “dirty”... We cannot sacrifice musicality for sound cleanliness...
To imprint to the musical notes of tango that characteristic force not only of the sonorous aspect but also of the dance is something necessary for an ideal interpretation.
Sincerely, I will always play this piece in this way, looking for dance expressiveness rather than an extreme meaningless cleanliness, the philosophy of tango, its connection with the urban, with the danger of the street, the passionate love... That requires a sonority beyond the classical lines.
