The plan is to get to the bottom of two prominent external Hive-related cyber attacks in the near term: the credentials theft attack that drains wallets and the arbitrage fraud that tricks and steals funds. Thousands of people were affected by these combined. Since there's no point in making two posts to gather info, this one here will suffice. PixabayWe have a problem with onboarded users who are new to Hive, many of them being new to crypto, discovering Steemit simply while researching more about Hive. When they discover it they don't realize that the protocol is compromised and is part of JS's money laundering empire, they just see a blogging site that gives tokens. They don't realize that by trying Steemit they are both partaking in crime and risking themselves, their information, and their funds.

What's been going on? I'm not that eloquent and I keep myself busy so I haven't written much here on the blog. This blog was originally supposed to be a frontend and all in all, that's a selfish type of vision that was. First there was this idea to create a new frontend, then to make it into a forum, then all kinds of other things and we went like this from 2017 when this account was launched until probably late into 2018, long after the witness was launched. Now that we're in the new year its time to make some plans and look ahead. Its challenging to come up with a strategic vision from a personal perspective when dealing with minute day to day type details on an ongoing basis which are all important. To look ahead I have to take a pause and forget.
