But whenever money is involved (especially in the cryptocurrency realm), there’s a more expensive version: every misplaced trust can empty a wallet. Blockchains promise trustless systems; math instead of middlemen, but the human layer still relies on good faith. Scammers know it, weaponize it, and cash out while we’re still wondering if that link looks odd. So yes, we really do have “trust issues” because trust is what they count on and what we lose.

Hive Core Development 2024Many people asked me to share a video that some of you may have seen during the core developers panel on the first day of HiveFest at Meštrović Gallery in Split (while being there or via the online stream). I put this together quickly as a presentation to showcase how Hive Core Development has progressed over the past few years - from the day Hive came to life to the day of the presentation.

We are going to Split! - That might seem obvious because I've been fortunate to attend every annual meeting since its inception. That is, until last year. For the first time, I missed HiveFest last year. While I enjoyed watching the event via online streams, it was nothing compared to being there in person. I even hosted an alternative cry-party for those who couldn't go to Rosarito. Yes, that absence created the longest HiveFest deprivation period in my Hive life ;-)
