As I sit down to reflect on my journey as a student responder at Bacolod City College, a rush of memories floods my mind – the late-night emergency calls, the adrenaline of responding to crises, the camaraderie with my fellow responders. Being part of this team has not only shaped my college experience but also transformed me into a more compassionate and responsible individual.

Nestled in the heart of the City of Smiles lies a hidden gem that embodies the spirit of excellence, community, and innovation - Bacolod City College. As a beacon of higher education in the region, this institution has become a melting pot of bright minds and passionate individuals who are committed to shaping a better future for themselves and their community.

Nestled amidst the bustling city of Bacolod lies a sanctuary of peace and prayer, the Carmelite Monastery in Mandalagan. It's a place that, until recently, I had only heard of in passing conversations, often described with adjectives like serene and divine. Finally deciding to satisfy my curiosity, I ventured into this sacred enclave to see for myself what it truly offered. Here is an account of my visit, through which I hope to share the tranquility and profound impact this monastery had on me.

As I sit down to pen this blog, the memories of the day vividly replay in my mind like scenes from a film—intense, exhilarating, and immensely gratifying. My involvement wasn't that of an actor or a director, but of a different kind of role altogether— a standby responder during the staging of Ang tiririt ng ibong adarna at STI-WNU Bacolod City. This unique position provided me with an exceptional perspective, one that blends the lines between spectatorship and participation, offering me a glimpse into the pulsating heart of theatre production and the unexpected adventures that come with it.

Last Friday, February 23, 2024, was a day marked by the exquisite blend of nostalgia, pride, and entertainment as we gathered at the Bacolod City College Activity Center to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the SATE. It was an event that promised a night filled with artistic brilliance and did not disappoint.

When they say, A dog is a man's best friend, they surely weren't mistaken. However, in my case, it feels more accurate to say, A dog is a man's most cherished daughter. Yes, you heard that right. I am the proud parent of a furry, four-legged bundle of joy named Mocha. She is not just any dog; she is my daughter, my companion, and my daily dose of happiness rolled into one adorable package.
