! [ENGLISH VERSION]
Photography is also an art. An art that is interpreted through the eyes of the beholder. It’s true that there are technical factors and rules of composition that the most knowledgeable analyze with a fine-tooth comb, but those of us who are just amateurs prefer a different approach: we simply enjoy the moment, capture fragments of life, and appreciate the result as it is, with its imperfections and charms.
Now, let’s be honest, not all the photos we take are worthy of pride. For every shot we share, there are dozens that end up deleted without mercy or contemplation. And maybe that’s why, when we manage to capture a shot we consider “perfect” (even if it’s only perfect to us), we feel our “pride-o-meter” skyrocket. Yes, I know, that imaginary device that measures our boastfulness doesn’t exist—haha.
I’m saying all this as a preamble to justify my lack of humility in sharing some photos I took a few days ago. I stamped them as “brilliant” because, well, that’s how I see them—for me, they’re beautiful.
The story behind them is simple but magical. A few days ago, I went to a pet store with my kids, and although I’ve never felt a special connection with mice, hamsters, or similar creatures, I must admit that in that scene, they were simply adorable. They were little cuties—yes, that’s the exact word—and I think I was lucky enough to press the shutter at just the right moment, with the ideal framing.
I loved these photos, what can I say? But as always, I appreciate constructive criticism that helps me improve. So, what do you think? Did I manage to capture the magic of the moment?
