Being a beautician can be fun and demanding sometimes, but the creativity of transforming someone's look into something more beautiful brings so much satisfaction.I thought I would have a child I will showcase my work on. Those thoughts and wishes were answered in a weird way. I had a son who came with so much hair, more than some ladies do.

There's no much truer words than those. When we prioritise our families, we find it easier to face the stress of everyday.Last weekend me, hubby and our sonshine went out for some shopping together after a very long time. We needed that time out after a very long week filled with stress.

Sometimes to understand certain situations, one needs a little taste of it. This is especially true if the words "I understand your pain" or "I understand how you feel" are used. While life generally has taught me some unpleasant lessons, those lessons have some how shaped a lot in me. I have on one hand become very empathetic to people's problems because I understand how it feels, and on the other hand, I have grown stone cold to some difficult situations.

Part of what I learned as a child from my mom is to enjoy seasonal foods. This is because while some foods may be available year round, their season makes them cheaper. Yes, price and nutrition matters sometimes. I got some veggies. The of the plant is called in hubby's language, Ukazi. They use it along with waterleaves to prepare a native fish called Afang soup. The Afang or Ukazi is sometimes used along with Melon or other combinations.

Looking at the first image here, I will say I never expected to see the amount of transformation my body will undergo due to motherhood.Although the images are about 4 years apart, I can say that pregnancy changed a whole lot in me. The very unforgettable amongst them being my nose 👃. Jeez, God knows why the nose had to increase in size, when the baby wasn't lodged there as womb extension or some sort of annex. Anyway, I'm glad it returned to normalcy over time. It literally turned the slay mama in me into a shy mama at some point because the only thing I saw in the mirror 🪞 then was the nose. 😭

The joys of motherhood can be a fine twist of fun and exhaustion, but what's fun without some measures of exhaustion? I may need to revisit this my idea in another holiday though, and I will tell you the reason.This holiday was fun packed with my mom and sister visiting us for some weeks. It brought about a huge relief to me because I got ill and had to be at the hospital a few times so having my mom and sister around to care for my sonshine was really good because hubby was busy with some jobs and wasn't around much.
