Aplaya beach is one of the most popular place here in Manticao, Misamis Oriental. Last year, this place was started to develop and made into a Public Resort. In a short tour with the place, I decided to went this beach and see how beautiful it is. Actually, the caretaker of the place don't allow is to enter the area because it was still under construction, that is why I decided to take pictures near of the place. It was already 6 PM and the sun was setting down.
One of the reason why people loves to went in this place is to see the beautiful sunset just like this one. Many of them wants to take a pictures and walked in the shore together with their families or friends.
SourceThis place is located at Barangay Punta Silum Manticao, Misamis Oriental. Here in my residency in Barangay Poblacion Manticao, it takes half an hour of travel before we arrived at the particular place of resort. We need to ride Public vehicle just like Buses or Motorcycle with a travel fair of 20 Pesos, that is 0.20 USD. This resort was facing of the Panguil Bay in Iligan City and there are few over view areas can be found in the place.
I was very lucky during my visitations in the beach because the sky was clear and the waves was very calm. Together with my Friend, we decided to take a picture of the sunset and we are really enjoyed watching it. The portion of the dark parts where my hands pointed is the place of Ozamiz City. This particular place can be seen here and sometimes, the lights of this city can also be seen here in Aplaya. Some people used to ride motorboats passing from here to Ozamiz to avoid any traffic. It takes 4 Hours before it reached the city.
The beach contains many small stones and peebles and it is very perfect for having a good time just like swimming and sand castle making. This place is very lucky because it only contains small stones, unlike other places that have many big stones and boulders. Last time during the sand castle competition, they helded here because this is the perfect spot for the said activity. This area can only be seen during low tide and it will submerge during hightide.
Because of the wave current, the sand dunes were form. As I seen this, I already amazed of the dunes I seen during my travel activity. A curvy line and shape in the sand cause by the water or wave current. Hermmet crabs are also crawling here in this place and thats what I noticed during my travel. According to the residents who lives in this place, there are lots of sea shells can be found here and it is hidden under this mountain of sands.
The sky was very clear during my travel day and I was very amazed of this portion of the clouds. The raise of the sun was directly shone in this clouds and creates a fascinating images. Other people who also their were also very amazed of the beauty of the sky and they take more pictures from it.
That high place as we can see in the picture is the neighboring Barangay of Manticao, the Barangay Poblacion. The said place was slowly progressing and many new built establishments can also be seen there. Believe it or not, some people walked starting from aplaya going to Barangay Poblacion in the sea shore. I was very amazed of the news I heard about the people who already experienced a long walk.
One of the primary source of income to all residents here are by fishing. They set sail with their small boats to the sea every afternoon and they will begin casting their nets there. They wait for how many hours and when it reach at the time of 12 midnight they will started to get up the nets and sail again to the shore. The fish they will catch will be sell to our Public Market. For me, this kind of work is not easy, it needs time, patience and hardwork to catch more fish.
During my visit, I found the place very beautiful and relaxing and it is truly perfect to all people who decided to visit the Aplaya beach In Barangay Punta Silum, Manticao Misamis Oriental.
