So many people think saving is a difficult task to do, they have already decided that it's not for them, due to one challenge or the other they face, it can be low Income, more expenses or just s non-challant attitude, The more reason why I explained two previous post of mine on how to sustain yourself financially through income
and benefits of saving
In my previous post, I listed several ways in which we can actually achieve saving successfully. Today, I will expatiate more on each point, so stay tuned
1 Have a goal
A goal is like a driving force, it keeps us focused on the right track. When you have something you are looking up to achieve, it is difficult to get easily distracted
2 Budgeting
Are you the type that spends as it comes and goes, with no proper plan/ monitoring, you just spend as it comes and go, this is a habit you need to cut because, monitoring your funds, helps you decide well on how to moderately spend and teaches you how to set aside some of your funds for future purposes.
3 Spend less
A saver spends on only important needs, not wants, that way, you will have something tangible after your expenses, also for example, if it cost more to eat out, why not just cook your food yourself, instead of buying designer clothing and really expensive items, why not go for none expensive brand, some still comes with quality.
4 make the savings automated
In this era of banking, there are banking apps that we can set an auto-save payment of a particular amount, either weekly, daily, or monthly depending on your preference. So forgetting to save because of your busy schedule won't be an excuse anymore.
5 you can start small, don't wait
You don't need to have a huge income to start saving, start from the little you have, haven't you heard? * a little drop of water can make a mighty ocean* lol, maybe not an ocean, but with time, I'm very sure it can fill a bucket, that is more realistic, right? So start saving now.
6 Know how to differentiate between your wants and needs
Wants are things we desire but we don't necessarily need, while needs are things we can't do without. Spend wisely. Don't buy things you won't use and has no gain for you.
7 When income is higher, save more
There are times when we get extra income, and unexpected raises, but that is not the time to become a lavish spender, instead be a lavish saver, you will be glad you took the right decision later.
8 Be disciplined
Every list here won't be possible without discipline, and being disciplined is a personal decision, it can't be forced on you, you need to take that bold step yourself, fir a better financially secured future.
9 Start saving now, don't wait
After this write-up, do you still have an excuse for why you have not decided to start saving? I guess not. So make that decision now.
The truth is to have a sustainable and secure future, savings have to be involved, somehow, so there is no need to delay, and there is no right time to start, the best time to start is now, be intentional, follow these few tips and you would be glad about this decision you made today.
