Iceberg is famous for their sweet treats, most specifically their Super Halo-Halo--a Filipino cold dessert.
But my husband and I doesn't feel like eating sweets, but rather we want something filling--a full-meal dinner. And to our delight, Icebergs now offers a wide range of comfort food to satisfy our cravings.
In the menu (which I am forbidden to take pictures by the staff) there's Icebergs Famous Sisig, Palabok Special, Mexican Tacos, Southern Style Fried Chicken, Golden Lechon Kawali, and many more.
With our Filipino taste buds, we settled for Icebergs Famous Sisig and Golden Lechon Kawali.
While we were waiting for our orders, I asked permission if I can take pictures of the wall, since their food are in the walls anyway, just like a menu! And fortunately, they agreed.

This is how it looks outside. Icebergs is a corner-store, so it's basically an easy find. In fact, this store is usually fullhouse specially during weekends. Fortunately, because we came on a weekday, there are some vacant seats.

After just a few minutes, our food was served.
Sisig is a Pinoy delicacy which originated from Pampanga (north of the country). It is a delicious medley of crunchy and velvety soft pork bits, onions, and chili peppers tossed in tangy calamansi. This dish is a perfect beer match and served as an appetizer, but has evolved into a popular dinner entree over the years. Special sisig, like this one, has a fresh egg on top. You have to mix it with the sisig while it is hot.

Lechon kawali on the other hand is a crispy pork belly deep-fried in a pan. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy in the inside is the perfect lechon kawali, just like this.

We have chosen different meals so that we can have a taste of each other's food. Hahaha! 🤣

And what can I say? Both are very tasty to the last bite!

Truly, these two famous Filipino food satisfied our Pinoy taste buds!
