Curating #gardening #gardenjournal and #homesteading posts on the HIVE blockchain. Share your #gardenjournal posts in the Hive Garden Community!
As I write this in Australia, it's 37 degrees celsius and climbing. I've harvested beetroot and chard and watered the garden, and now there's nothing I can do outside without wilting myself. However, if there's one thing that's cooler than cool is looking at all the lovely garden posts from the last two weeks!
Did you know this month's garden challenge lasts for two weeks, and you have a chance to win a share of 20 HIVE winnings? If you got your entry in during the first week, then read on to see if you're the lucky winner of 5 HIVE! As they say, the early bird catches the worm! I hope you understand that we could only curate posts with the #gardenjournal tag as that way we knew who was entering the challenge. If you've been missed, please drop your link below and we'll add it to the next wrap up.
Every now and then there's a flurry of new people posting in the community that are not quite aware of what we expect, so we post a reminder post to help them out. This isn't meant as a criticism for people who aren't intentionally doing the wrong thing, but a reminder - some ground rules set a good foundation for a smooth and good experience in our wonderful community.
What should the minimum word count be for a Hive Garden post? Currently we think anything less than 300 should consider posting on Snaps or putting a little more effort into the story you tell. Some communities set higher word counts than this... Thoughts?
We're a big fan of the Snap feature on Peakd, and we take this opportunity to encourage you to use it. It's great for quick garden content that's short and sweet, and we've been giving our 100 percent upvotes and 'resnaps' for good snaps with the #hivegarden and #gardening tags.
December is he LAST month of the year - and the last chance for a #gardenjournal entry! This month we're awarding a prize pool of 20 HIVE that will be distributed amongst the best entries.
