Sorry it's taken so long to publish this - I really have no excuse! @akipponn is going to make some stickers to hand out so they gave me the nudge I needed. I hope all of you have got your banners if you requested them - check the pinned post this week if you missed it.
Hello garden folk! It's very hot down here in southern Australia and since I can't go outside without spontaneously combusting, I thought I'd redesign the banners with the new logos in mind. These are designed to go as a footer at the bottom of your posts - you may have noticed some people have them already. If you don't have one, or would like yours updated, please comment below
Though Feb was a short month, it seems ages since we had a challenge. I'm excited to see what's going on in March - from snow melting and seed raising to tidying up autumnal gardens and everything in between. I must apologise for not announcing the changed logo sooner and to be honest, it hasn't really been totally finalised, but we'll get there. A gardeners work is never really done.
Thanks to everyone who responded with feedback to the logo suggestions yesterday. I think we have more than enough responses to make a decision - at least almost make a decision! From the comments, a couple of things were clear. The most popular choice was Option B - it was pretty unanimous. People liked it's high contrast, the white enabling the bee to stand out against the dark background.
Every year or two we change the logo. It's a way of staying fresh, and we get a little bored with the same old logo all the time. We have even more of a reason to freshen it up this year, as @akiponn is going to distribute some stickers in Graz for the Hive Creator Days in May!
Although we're not officially offering prizes, sometimes we can't resist! Thanks for everyone who entered the challenge, engaged with others, and entertained us as well as informed us. Us gardeners really appreciate you!
