Back a long time ago when dinosaurs walked the land and the Earth didn't have as many wankers on it, I used to play video games; well, one video game in particular called Ghost Recon. I used to play on a PC against my brothers who were all over the world and had faster internet speeds so I used to get my ass kicked a lot; builds character I guess. Soon after all those ass kickings I realised video games were for babies and there were much better things to be doing, so I stopped. Anyway, this post has nothing at all to do with gaming...however I used the title level up which I guess is a term used in gaming so maybe this post is about gaming.

You like it or you don't...or...you sometimes like it.We all have musical tastes that are specific to us based on experiences, upbringing and what we've been exposed to throughout our journey through life. I'm no different.

It is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be.

From where I'm situated it's a good view and I feel well-deserving of it which makes the fact I can see it so clearly even better. I'm talking about the view from Friday to the weekend, and the view back through my week!

We are all fated to a life sentence...an indeterminate period of "living life". There's another type of life sentence of course, incarceration, but hopefully we'll all avoid that one completely. I feel that many people subject themselves to a life sentence that, whilst not physically spent in jail, is still one of confinement, inhibited and not fully-lived to its potential, and it's sad to think that a lot of the time that's due to their own poor choices, lack of ownership and discipline and a complete failure to take any responsibility for what happens in their lives.

I was never exceptional but I work hard and achieve many of the results I set out to; certainly, my efforts to improve and be the best I could helped a lot more than making no effort at all, and that's something I've carried throughout my life from a young age. One aspect I was amazingly average at was sport, but I worked at it and became better, even good at some sports, and got a lot of enjoyment (and general benefit) from it.
