Hello monochrome lovers, lately I have been traveling quite a lot in the Caracas subway, since I don't always use the bus to go to the university. Generally when I ride public transport I always take pictures, I find something peculiar in these environments, is that a lot of people converge, many things happen at the same time and it is inevitable to feel an impulse to record certain things.
On this occasion I made a selection of three black and white photographs that I really like.
In this first one the impulse was given by the symmetry given by the lines of the space and the vanishing point that makes the place feel infinite. Being there practically alone, it was not difficult to take out the cell phone and take the picture, although there is always one or two people staring at you...
Hola amigos amantes del monocromo, últimamente he transitado bastante el metro de Caracas, ya que para ir a la universidad no siempre uso bus. Generalmente cuando ando en transporte público siempre hago fotografías, encuentro algo peculiar en éstos entornos, es que confluyen una gran cantidad de personas, muchas cosas ocurren al mismo tiempo y es inevitable sentir un impulso por registrar ciertas cosas.
En esta ocasión hice una selección de tres fotografías en blanco y negro que me gustan muchísimo.
En esta primera el impulso fue dado por la simetría que otorgaban las líneas del espacio y el punto de fuga que hace sentir infinito el lugar. Al estar allí prácticamente sola no fué difícil sacar el celular y hacer la foto, aunque siempre una que otra persona se te queda mirando...
When I took this second picture I really liked the contrast generated by the lighting of the place, I also found symmetry in the way the lady in the skirt was standing, right in front of me.
Al momento de hacer está segunda fotografía me gustó mucho el contraste que generaba la iluminación propia del lugar, también encontré simetría por la forma en que estaba parada la señora de la falda, justo al frente de mi.
Finally, I like to look from perspectives that we are not used to, when we go in the subway we always look at the height that allows us to stand or at the height that gives us the seat, rarely we look from the floor. It is common to see people sitting on the floor of the Caracas subway, this is obviously wrong, but when you go back home after studying or working all day suddenly does not seem so strong of place the idea, then you decide to keep company to a stranger with the same level of fatigue as you and who made the decision to break the rules before you. So I took this photo, I was sitting on the floor of a wagon, it seemed to me a rather unusual point of view.

Por último, me resulta interesante mirar desde perspectivas a las que no estamos acostumbrados, cuando vamos en el metro siempre observamos a la altura que nos permite el estar de pie, o a la altura que nos da el asiento, pocas veces observamos desde el piso. Casualmente es común ver a personas sentadas en el piso del metro de Caracas, esto está mal evidentemente, pero cuando vas de vuelta a casa luego de estudiar o trabajar todo el día de repente no parece tan fuera de lugar la idea, entonces decides hacer compañía a un desconocido con el mismo nivel de cansancio que tú y que tomó la decisión de romper las normas antes de tí. Así realicé está foto, estaba sentada en el piso de un vagón, me pareció un punto de vista bastante inusual.
