El día de hoy les enseñaré el paso a paso de la elaboración de agarra ollas, que son muy necesarios en la cocina de nuestras casas. En esta ocasión, les mostraré tres modelos diferentes, cada uno con su propio estilo y técnica, pero todos igualmente sencillos de realizar.
Como les comenté, las agarraderas son un elemento indispensable en cualquier cocina, ya que nos protegen del calor al manipular ollas y sartenes. Además, pueden convertirse en un accesorio decorativo si elegimos telas con diseños y colores que combinen con nuestro estilo.
Ahora sí, sin más ¡Manos a la obra!
- Guata (relleno aislante del calor)
- Tela rígida (dos colores o estampados de tu preferencia)
- Hilo resistente
- Tijeras de tela
- Alfileres
- Molde: Cuadrado de 14 cm x 14 cm y Círculo de 20 cm de diámetro
- Lazo o cinta (opcional, para colgar la agarradera)
- Máquina de coser (opcional, también puedes coser a mano)
Usando el molde cuadrado, corta dos cuadrados de tela (uno de cada color o estampado) y un cuadrado de guata. Y usando el molde circular, corta dos círculos de tela (uno de cada color o estampado) y un círculo de guata.
Vamos a colocar los dos círculos de tela derecho con derecho y el círculo de guata por debajo.
Cosemos todo el borde del círculo, dejando una abertura de unos 5 cm para voltear.
Recortamos el exceso de tela alrededor de la costura y hacemos pequeños cortes en el borde curvo (sin llegar a la costura) para que el círculo quede bien formado al voltear.
Luego, procedemos a voltear el círculo al derecho a través de la abertura.
Colocamos los dos cuadrados de tela derecho con derecho y el cuadrado de guata debajo.
Luego, cosemos todo el borde del cuadrado, dejando una abertura de unos 5 cm en uno de los lados.
Recortamos el exceso de tela en las esquinas para que queden bien definidas al voltear y volteamos el cuadrado al derecho a través de la abertura.
Luego, procedemos a centrar el cuadrado dentro del círculo. Sujetamos el cuadrado al círculo con alfileres y después, doblamos las esquinas del cuadrado hacia adentro, formando cuatro triángulos.
Aseguramos los triángulos con alfileres y cosemos todo el borde del círculo, fijando también los triángulos del cuadrado.
De manera opcional elaboramos un lazo, para ello, se corta un trozo de lazo o cinta de unos 15 cm. doblamos el lazo por la mitad y lo cocemos en una de las esquinas del cuadrado.
Para realizar el segundo modelo de agarra ollas, agregaremos diferentes moldes:
Dos cuadrados de tela de 14 cm x 14 cm
Guata de 14 cm x 14 cm
Tela para la franja diagonal: ancho de 14 cm y el largo dependerá del modelo que desee realizar.
Luego de cortar las piezas en guata, procedemos a hacer la franja diagonal. Si deseas, puedes doblar los bordes de la franja diagonal hacia adentro y coserlos para un acabado más limpio.
Centramos la franja diagonal sobre uno de los cuadrados de tela, en la posición que desees. Sujetamos la franja con alfileres y fijamos al cuadrado de tela.
Unimos las telas y la guata, cosiendo todo el borde del cuadrado, dejando una abertura de unos 5 cm en uno de los lados.
Volteamos y cerramos la abertura, recortando excesos de tela.
De forma opcional le agregamos el lazo decorativo y tendremos listo el segundo modelo.
Para un tercer modelo, se recortan las telas con las siguientes medidas: Un cuadrado de tela de 14 cm x 14 cm (tela interior), un cuadrado de guata de 14 cm x 14 cm y un cuadrado de tela de 16 cm x 16 cm (tela exterior).
Colocamos el cuadrado de tela de 14 cm x 14 cm (tela interior) hacia arriba y el cuadrado de guata encima.
Luego, colocamos el cuadrado de tela de 16 cm x 16 cm (tela exterior) encima, con el revés hacia arriba y aseguramos todas las capas con alfileres.
Doblamos los bordes del cuadrado de tela de 16 cm x 16 cm hacia adelante, cubriendo el cuadrado de tela de 14 cm x 14 cm y la guata.
Luego, asegura los bordes doblados con alfileres y cosemos todo el borde del cuadrado, fijando las capas de tela y guata.
Con esto estará listo estos agarra ollas, varios modelos que te servirán para poder usarla para proteger tus manos del calor al manipular ollas y sartenes.

As I mentioned, pot holders are an indispensable element in any kitchen, since they protect us from the heat when handling pots and pans. In addition, they can become a decorative accessory if we choose fabrics with designs and colors that match our style.

- Wadding (heat insulating padding)
- Stiff fabric (two colors or prints of your choice)
- Strong thread
- Fabric scissors
- Pins
- Mold: 14 cm x 14 cm square and 20 cm diameter circle.
- Ribbon or ribbon (optional, to hang the handle)
- Sewing machine (optional, you can also sew by hand)
Using the square template, cut two squares of fabric (one of each color or pattern) and one square of wadding. And using the circular mold, cut two circles of fabric (one of each color or pattern) and a circle of wadding.
We are going to place the two fabric circles right sides together and the wadding circle underneath.
We sew all around the edge of the circle, leaving an opening of about 5 cm for turning.
Trim the excess fabric around the seam and make small cuts on the curved edge (without reaching the seam) so that the circle is well formed when turning.
Then, proceed to flip the circle right side out through the opening.
We place the two fabric squares right sides together and the wadding square underneath.
Then, we sew all around the edge of the square, leaving an opening of about 5 cm on one side.
We trim the excess fabric at the corners so that they are well defined when flipped and flip the square right side out through the opening.
Then, we proceed to center the square inside the circle. Pin the square to the circle and then fold the corners of the square inward, forming four triangles.
Secure the triangles with pins and sew around the edge of the circle, securing the triangles of the square as well.
Optionally, we make a bow, for this, we cut a piece of ribbon or ribbon about 15 cm. We fold the ribbon in half and we sew it in one of the corners of the square.
To make the second model of pot holders, we will add different molds:
Two 14 cm x 14 cm squares of fabric.
14 cm x 14 cm wadding
Fabric for the diagonal strip: 14 cm wide and the length will depend on the model you want to make.
After cutting the wadding pieces, we proceed to make the diagonal strip. If you wish, you can fold the edges of the diagonal stripe inward and sew them together for a cleaner finish.
Center the diagonal stripe on one of the fabric squares, in the position you want. Pin the stripe and attach it to the fabric square.
We join the fabrics and the wadding, sewing all around the edge of the square, leaving an opening of about 5 cm on one side.
Turn over and close the opening, trimming off excess fabric.
Optionally we add the decorative ribbon and we will have the second model ready.
For a third model, we cut out the fabrics with the following measurements: a 14 cm x 14 cm square of fabric (inner fabric), a 14 cm x 14 cm square of wadding and a 16 cm x 16 cm square of fabric (outer fabric).
We place the 14 cm x 14 cm fabric square (inner fabric) face up and the wadding square on top.
Then, place the 16 cm x 16 cm fabric square (outer fabric) on top, back side up, and secure all layers with pins.
Fold the edges of the 16 cm x 16 cm fabric square forward, covering the 14 cm x 14 cm fabric square and the wadding.
Then, secure the folded edges with pins and sew around the edge of the square, securing the layers of fabric and wadding.
