Birds

Like many people, birds come down to Florida to escape harsh winters. This is the best time to look for birds with over 300 different species spotted. Everglades national park is the most popular resting spot of these migratory birds. Ring necked ducks and the rare American flamingo are two popular birds seen there.

Different areas of Florida have different snow birds as well. In Tallahassee, snow geese and whooping cranes rest, while Naples is the home of the repopulating wood stork. Most of these birds will return to the north as the weather warms up, so take a look around soon.
