Definitely the current Marvel is no longer what it was a few years ago and while their movies were not the best in cinema, they were very entertaining, something that is not currently the case and although they are trying to return to what it was before, personally I no longer have that energy or excitement to see something new from this company. But previously there were many video games based on the greatest characters of this comic book publisher that were very entertaining, I remember quite fondly the X-Men: Mutant Academy of the PlayStation 1, as that was one of my first games I had of that console, in fact, when I bought my PS1, the first two games I got were Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and that X-Men game I mentioned above, which was a pretty good fighting game. These days I have done reviews of games of the platform genre, which are games where there is not much to think about and you just have to move forward and overcome obstacles, very entertaining games despite their simplicity. But there is another genre of video games that has similar elements to the platformers and those are the beat'em up games, a type of game that focuses on advancing, hitting and defeating as many enemies as we can. This time I bring the review of a game of this genre, but whose protagonists are composed of several of the most emblematic Marvel characters.

Sometimes I come across games that I have never heard or read about, it is something quite common when you are always looking for "new" games to discover and, in those searches you can find real hidden gems of video games. And while the game I'm going to tell you about today is not spectacular, it turns out to be a more than entertaining platformer. This game, although I had never heard or read about it, the movie on which it is based much less, "Adventures in Dinosaur City" is a 1991 movie of which I hope that besides me, someone else reading this post doesn't know it either. The film centers on three friends who found themselves watching a TV show called "Dino Saurs," a dinosaur show with human, i.e. anthropomorphic, features. UOne of the friends suggests watching the show on a better TV, so they go to their parents' lab and find an experimental screen, which as you can guess nothing good can come out of it and that really is a portal that sends them to another dimension, a dimension plagued by dinosaurs, more specifically, they are transported to the favorite show of the protagonists of this story. This movie had a video game based on that plot but with its differences, in a quite fun platform game.

For several reasons I have been playing very little Splinterlands, one of them is the little motivation I have to play, although I have been playing regularly the clan battles and I always try to participate weekly, but in general terms I have lowered the regularity of play, but I have proposed to increase the battles per day, so I can accumulate GLINT. I have said it many times and it is that the EARTH deck has become one of my favorite decks, it is even the deck that I currently use more frequently, especially using combinations with Magic Attack type cards. ENDLESS APE is a pretty interesting Melee card in general terms and one of those cards that fits perfectly in the first position due to its high stats and its ability to increase its maximum life thanks to its ability. So this is today's battle of the day with the main card: ENDLESS APE.

A few days ago I reviewed The Flintstones game for Mega Drive, which turned out to be a platform game that although conventional, was quite entertaining and in that review I failed to mention that this game was the one I had played when I was a kid. I had my doubts since there were several games of The Flintstones, I didn't know which was the one I had played when I was a kid, but it became clear to me when I played both the SEGA and Nintendo versions. While the SNES game is quite similar in terms of graphics to its SEGA counterpart, this Nintendo version I think has slightly better graphics and also, in terms of gameplay is less linear than the SEGA version as it has several game modes in addition to the classic platformer genre and has much more varied mini-games than the other game, so I found the SNES version much more entertaining, although both games are just as easy.

The Flintstones is one of the biggest animated television families in the industry, its characters are a very big icon in the medium and for several years were part of the childhood of many people around the world, even having Live Action adaptations in film (even a video game based on the Live Action), but I will not talk about that game in particular, but in their games based on the classic animated series. The Flintstones has come to have several video games, but this time I'm going to focus on two games made by two of the rival video game companies of a bygone era: SEGA and NINTENDO. In today's post I will focus on the Mega Drive version, which as it can not be otherwise, is a game of the genre of platforms quite entertaining and fun.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the best stop-motion movies in the film industry, it was quite innovative and has all the essence of Tim Burton in it, however there is one detail regarding this movie that many people are wrong and that is that they think that Tim Burton was in charge of directing it and although the idea of this movie and the production are his responsibility, the real director of The Nightmare Before Christmas was Henry Selick, who was also in charge of directing the other stop-motion movie "Coraline". As many know, The Nightmare Before Christmas focuses on Jack Skellington, who in his fantasy world where it is always Hallowen, is nicknamed as the "Pumpkin King" and is in charge of organizing all the relevant festivities every year, but bored of always doing this, Jack decides to do something new and in search of that "something", he finds some doors that, each one of them is set in a holiday, from Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter and others. Jack enters the door that transports him to the "world of Christmas" and is amazed by what is there, thus saying that he will take charge of organizing Christmas in his world, something that, as you can guess, is not something that the people will like, thus initiating the whole conflict of the film. However, this video game unlike others that are based on movies, the story is centered before the events of The Nightmare Before Christmas, so it is a prequel to those events, in a quite entertaining platform game.
