As soon as I saw this blooming tree, I knew that it was time for a photo walk. The first days of my visit, it was raining and I hadn't been out much. But now the weather was brilliant and the colors of nature were inviting me, to enjoy and capture them!

It is funny how sometimes, when I live for years next to an attraction, like an archeological site, a landmark or even a night club, I never visit it, no matter how much I want to. And then I move away, and somehow the universe aligns and I find myself inside that very attraction, that I never saw from up close, all those years that I was living next to it!

Time to hit the road for one more time, following the pendulum of my life, from the mainland to my home island. As usual, I tried to make the most of the trip, making scenic detours, fitting in between some errands in the city and seeing old friends on the way. No wonder why a trip that shouldn't take more than 14 hours, took me more than 24!

This year's yacht show in Nafplio passed without any interest at my end. Actually I saw it only as a metal fence along my walk on the pier and a wall of boats, blocking my view. Do I sound like a grumpy old guy, complaining about everything?

I could have done a whole post about the cats of Monemvasia. They seem to be the absolute rulers of the town but, on the other hand, they tend to do that in every town, don't they?Can you spot the cat of the first picture in the right picture below? They are always sitting on the most bizarre places, watching everything that goes on and everyone that passes by.

The voice on our doorstep was loud, almost a yelling but on a rather cheerful note. Right after the initial surprise, we recognised the voice of a friend that was coming with her arms full of goodies!When you live in a small town, nature is very close by and even when you don't have the time to go foraging yourself, a friend might do. And this particular friend not only went for a day in the countryside but she also remembered that we wanted chamomile and lavender. And she picked a whole bunch of them, just for us.
