It has been about two months since I shared with you my journey of commencing a small poultry project behind my apartment. Allow me to share with you how that little project, which turned out with some challenges along the way, ultimately resulted in being a blessing during this festive season.

It's the festive season in Nigeria, which is supposed to have buzzing shoppers, crowded shops and clinking cash registers. Instead of all these expected Christmas goodies, we have deserted streets, frustrated shoppers, again thanks to yet another utopian central bank cash withdrawal policy.

Ahora que estamos a 15 de diciembre, parece que el espíritu navideño se ha instalado en la gente que hace compras frenéticas para las fiestas. Pero esto fue algo que descubrí el otro día cuando estaba en el centro comercial. Los villancicos sonaban en los altavoces y en todo el centro comercial había señales de rebajas, así que en lugar de que la gente comprara estos regalos de Navidad para otras personas, parecía que los compraban principalmente para sí mismos.
